Rakin' Leaves
Fall is here.....and we have the cool temps and ALL the leaves on the ground to prove it. So, the other night we pulled out a rake and a shovel and Grey was thrilled. Greyson was the one who needed the shovel. Nate made a big pile and Greyson LOVED it. He showed us his awesome "hops"......and with ALL the crunches of the leaves Greyson was in his glory......not only was he outside but he had a rake in hand and was able to do yard work......He loves being outside.

He's a hard worker....

And then I tried to get some cool pics by throwing some leaves up in the air....don't know if it worked or not...hah!

see here's that shovel....who knows???

and don't know what I think of this pic yet.....but nonetheless I posted it.....

Alright rakin' leaves is over......

This was Grey before school yesterday so I had to get his picture....Granny Ann takes Grey to school on Mondays and Wednesdays.......Yesterday I was one proud mama because Grey brought me home a lovely spider to add to the fridge.....And yes he needed a couple "manny" tools in order to take the picture for me....

He also showed his teacher Miss Sue how he can jump....she said it's unusual for a 1 year old to have mastered such hops...lol!

He's my love~!

and now we have spiders in our crib thanks to Dee Dee.....She bought Grey an oh so soft new blankie to add to his crib this halloween....

and this is Grey mad that I took away his binkie....

so he tries a different approach....he says maybe I'll try to look cute and say "pease" can I have my binkie?

Starved Rock
Talk about a beautiful day around here! This is the type of weather that I absolutely LOVE. No 80s, no 70s.....60s are the best.......wearing a sweatshirt and jeans do the trick and sitting outside taking in the fresh air is the thing to do! On Sunday, we ventured out to Starved Rock. It's a shame that we have this place so close and we don't take advantage of it more often. We packed a picnic lunch and brought a blanket where we watched some people fish, kids run free, and people canoe. Grey waved to all the boats that went by.
This was my sweet pea eating his lunch

when I see pictures like this....it just makes it all worthwhile

enjoying some more of his lunch

He was my Lil' Urlacher for the day......

and yes amongst the fresh air and leaves all around us, Greyson managed to sneak in a "manny tool" from home....

Just check out that view......

And these two.....well they are quite the duo and this picture.....priceless

Oh he LOVES his little boy....

Grey was pretty content there on his daddy's lap

he did get in his running.....and if I recall a certain mama kept sayin' "go run Grey - burn off all that energy so you take a nice lonnnng nap." :)

"over dare" Grey kept saying....he's quite the pointer isn't he?

still getting his point across of "over dare"

I could just eat him up......look at him.....

and then I catch a big wide grin and hurry and snap all the pictures I can....

I like Grey's face in this one......

and then daddy says - "Grey, show me your teeth" and this is what you get.....

he's like - yeah you love me mom....i know

walkin' over the bridge to start our hike after lunch

Grey was too slow for us so we opted this route...lol!

on our way UP

we made it to the top.....

and then I wanted some pics with my son so we try at first....and he's not looking......hmmmmm

then turns his head the other way.....still trying

oops what's that? Is that a smile or maybe a laugh I see because I told him to grab mommy's head...don't know why I said that it just came out....

still working on it....

and then a cool shot walking away.....good job Nate!

and then we made our way down.....My Payton and my Urlacher are quite the hikers:)

Greyson was out the minute he hit his carseat....I always say fresh air does the trick:)))
