Here's to a New Year!

So, now I sit.  I am sitting because I just got home, gave Greyson a bath, and Nate is buying his tickets.  The house is quiet because my sweet little boy who I rocked to sleep is off in dreamland.  The house seems bare because the past two days we have taken down the decorations from the blessed Christmas season.  This morning was spent taking down the Christmas tree and we had one very sad toddler.  He kept saying - "want Christmas tree mama!"  I just had to keep telling him that we would have another one next year but that now it was time to say goodbye.  And just as it is time to say goodbye to another Christmas season, it is time to say goodbye to 2010 and welcome 2011 and all that it has to offer.

So, now I am trying to recap the year in my head with good thoughts and all that I have, while the house is in this nice quiet state.  Is my life perfect?  No it is not.  Are there things that I wish I could change?  Yes there are.  I am trying to come up with my "goals" for 2011 and I think for now I will keep them to myself.  But, as I try to think of my good thoughts from 2010 I can't help but think of my family and all that God has blessed me with.  I have a job, I have a home, I have a husband, and I have a beautiful little boy that I can't get enough of.  That should sum it up right about there.  We have been faced with hardships-yes -and do we struggle from time to time with different things - yes.....but when it all comes down to it I have all those things and for now because of that, life is good.  It's the good that keeps you going and it's all the goodness to come that keeps you faithful and fighting.

So as I look ahead I can't help but be thankful for my son and to be pregnant again and have the opportunity to be blessed with another sweet tiny miracle growing inside me.  It truly is the best feeling.  So I hope for a healthy baby in 2011 and a healthy/happy family as well.  Because afterall, they are the "good" that keep me going.  Greyson and Baby Ernat are our two tiny miracles that make life all the better for us.  They continue to show us what life truly is about and I in turn will keep on learning, because I know I still have A LOT of that to do.  I truly don't know ALL of who I am yet - I mean honestly maybe my 30th year will teach me that-hah! or maybe not but the important thing is that I have the "good" in my life to keep me going and keep me learning as a person, as a wife, and as a mother.  So, I am keeping the faith in 2011 and the hope and ALL that GOOD I have inside me.

I wish all of you a Happy and Healthy New Year!
Cheers to all my readers as well.  Thanks for checking in on us from time to time.

Christmas Morning and Christmas Day...

Christmas Morning Greyson woke up to this....

and I woke up to this:))))))))  It was a necklace from Nate but he had to order it so I don't have it right now.....but it's pretty cool....I'll be sure to show you when I get it....

But we did read some books before opening presents because Grey wanted doughnuts.....So, who's out looking for doughnuts on Christmas morning?  NAte is of course...Beck's was open and they had some so it worked out just fine......

So, finally Grey could have just what he wanted for Breakfast on Christmas morning

They were pretty yummy

So, after doughnuts it was time to open presents......

And yes Santa brought Grey a blue helmet.  He had been wanting one:)

He kept it on for quite some time....

Nate was putting together Grey's remote control car

Mommy and Grey in all their "jammie" glory

and then a try at a family pic on Christmas morning.....gotta have it for the memory book...no matter how "good" you look...

and this was mommy and daddy's big gift this year from Dee Dee....a brand new leather recliner....

After a nap for all of us and showers, we headed over to Grammy Ann's for Christmas Day.  It was nice and mellow and relaxing.  She cooked a wonderful meal for us.............

and then after our meal, it was time to open presents.........AGAIN!

Even baby Ernat got a present....it was a cute yellow sleeper

Grammy ANn and Grey handed out the presents

and it seemed as though a lot of people bought Grey underwear....yeah we need to get going on the potty training...

Mary Rose and Grey opening presents......Livy was in Nevada this year on Christmas with her dad, so we missed her very much...

Papa Hank is not very amused....is he?

Grey really liked playing in his new caterpillar tent....

and Mary really liked these magnets.....grammy Ann bought them for Grey and they are really really cool - we were all playing with them.

here's the get-up again......Dee Dee changed Grey's diaper and wanted him to show off his new underwear...lol!

Strike a pose

And to end our Christmas night, Nate, Uncle Alex, and I went to the movies.  We saw The Fighter and it was really good!  Merry Christmas!

Sesame Street Live

First of all, I want to thank all of you for the pregnancy "well" wishes.  That means a lot!

Yesterday, Nate and I both took the day off to take Grey to see Sesame Street Live.  We bought Grey tickets for his birthday.  It was a great day and Grey really liked it.  It was snowing just a bit on our drive there and we had the Christmas station playing in the car, so it put us in the Christmas spirit.  It was the perfect way to kick off December.

When we first walked in, he saw all the "elmo" stuff and so I took some pictures

Before the big show Grey and his daddy munched on a corn dog.

Still waiting for the curtains to open and still holding on tight to that corn dog...

Then it started and Grey shouted right away..."big bird"

We were 2nd row from the stage down on the floor so it was pretty cool!

The special number for the day was #1

Grey was much more content on our laps so he kept switching back and forth between Nate and I

But, when the characters would come down on the floor to shake hands and wave, Grey did get nervous.  One time, I tried to push him to go see elmo and he was ready to start screaming so he was back on my lap;)

They had Elmo balloons for $10 a piece.....so we didn't really need one of those....Grey didn't even say anything about them so that was good

This was intermission......Grey needed to run around so him and Nate took a walk

Then we landed back in our seats for the last 1/2 hour of the show....which started with Oscar the grouch

Grey was ALL eyes with him....

and Grey especially liked the scene about brushing your teeth......he likes to walk around with his toothbrush at home.....

So here is my little man saying it was a great show!!!
