Fall and ALL things random...

Along with Fall comes Homecoming and along with that comes the parade and let's face it...parades make kids happy (for the most part)....so we grabbed our halloween bags and off we went...

 I hurried home after school...and picked up my crew...

The loud noises scared sister a little...so she stayed close to daddy.

 Who gets a stuffed animal thrown to them at a parade???  Well, Sailor does I guess ;-)  It's not what ya know it's who ya know...

 

they waved and they waved and they waved...hoping for some good candy...and let me tell you those little smiles worked wonders...

My dear friend and cousin was in town a few weeks back...she lives in Arizona.....so we got to visit with them and her little guy Gio.....we ordered food and the kids ran around....it was so nice to catch up...

Gio is sooooo adorable...he's not quite 2 yet...Sailor loved having someone 'littler' than her around...

These were some moments I caught over our weekend...we took the kids to a fall festival on Sunday....

My sweet boy or should I say my sweet ninja?  Either one works right now.

 Nate made me take Sailor's ring off last night.  We have not taken it off since I put it on her which who knows how long ago that was...it was looking a little tight around those chubby fingers....a little soap and it came right off....now I must find her another one that fits ;-)

 they went on a muscle 'kick' for some reason...

 Sailor said - "Mama yook...I showin' you my muscles!"

And we had some fun in the kitchen today....we made some hallween jello jigglers...the kids enjoyed it...

 it's their 'after' dinner treat tonight...

Beatin' this heat wave tonight...

Hot Hot Hot!  This heat is making my water bill go up;)  We just got new landscaping done so we've been watering like crazy and this heat doesn't help matters.  I hope all of our new plants make it.

One good thing is that we've gotten out of school early this week.  It's amazing how much work I can get done at school with that extra hour.

We've started our new schedules around here and everyone seems to be adjusting pretty well.  Nate's hasn't really changed.  Sailor is back with "grammy Annie" and papa Davey and Grey and I are out the door headed to school in the morning.

And since there's not much else to do in this heat, we headed to the pool tonight.  It was refreshing!

The minute I said "let's go swimming for a bit Grey"....I turned around and he had his shirt off and swim trunks on.  I really need to sign him up for a swim team.  He LOVES the water and he's learned so much this summer.  We picked up Livy and off we went!

Sailor on the other hand....she goes more for the look of a swimmer ;-)  My mom started calling her "the keeper of the first step"...that's her special spot in the pool.  No further!

the other kids don't mind either because then they make her get them all the toys -haha!  she's gettin' good at throwing the dive sticks in for them;)

Sailor always tells me her legs are cold and then she makes me wrap her in this gigantic towel...it cracks me up...

See what I mean - Look at her throw those dive sticks!  I guess while Grey was learning to dive, Sailie was learning to do this ;-)

Well, tomorrow is Friday.  I'm looking forward to a long, relaxing type of weekend.  Probably more of this and some grilling out.

In the meantime, we'll keep working on kisses with Giu Giu :-)  Because good lawwwddd those cheeks are yummy!

Diamond

Our friend Macklin got a little pony and she invited us to come see her.  Grey was super excited about it and Livy was with us too!

I don't know much about these animals, but she's sure one pretty pony.  Macklin named her Diamond.  I thought that was a really cute name:)

First we were able to watch Macklin and Lyla ride Diamond - but I didn't get any pics of that...They had all their 'riding' gear on - their helmets and their boots...the saddles - everything;)

Then we walked Diamond back in where all the kids were able to brush her...

 Grey needs some cowboy boots...and he's been asking for a pair so that's on my radar...I think he'd look too cute in a pair;)

 Mack is sure one sweet girl:)

 oh and Sailie was there too - but she didn't want anything to do with Diamond - ha!

Raging Waves

My mom and I took the kids to Raging Waves and aside from ALL the WORK it was - it was a lot of fun!  First I'd like to give a shout out to grammy Ann for treating us -it was a great way to OFFICIALLY kick off summer!

It is a lot of work to go places though...it.really.is.  By the time I pack up all the stuff and bags and gear and food and such - I'm exhausted and we're not even there yet.  Honestly, Nate and I were going to take the kids to Michigan for a few days but we have decided that we will just do day trips all summer long.  It's just easier right now and like I said with the ages our kids are right now...it just works better for us.  Don't get me wrong - I love a vacation but it's just A LOT of work with two little kids and besides, I think we are gonna have a pretty big one coming up in the near future (more on that another time)...

So, back to our fun filled day trip to Raging waves...Grey could NOT contain himself - he was so excited...and so was Livy!

First thing Grey spotted was all this cool stuff...

This is where we stayed for the most part...it really was perfect for Livy and Grey...

Sailor is not nuts about the water and it didn't help that it was FREEZING cold...

Lunch break!  Guess what we had - chicken nuggets - Surprise Surprise!

after lunch we headed to the sand...
