Sweet Life

is because of my sweet baby boy who lately is having a tantrum/meltdown every single day over something little and make that 20 times a day, but my love for him just grows and grows and grows.  Grey you have ripped my heart right out of me.  I never ever knew what motherhood could bring or the feelings it would reach for within me, but it has sparked a light that will burn forever and I LOVE THAT and I LOVE YOU!  I could photograph you ALL the time....you just light me up!  And if you only knew how much you are loved little boy.......it's just amazing how we ALL tote around you.....good/bad.....happy/sad....laughing/crying.....you just make our life a whole lot sweeter and the least I can do as your mama is say thank you!

Find a purpose in life so big it will challenge every capacity to be at your best.

The little moments of my little boy.....I think I've captured a lot of good ones so far in these 18 months and they make the world look a whole lot brighter...keep lookin' up little boy!

The trials and triumphs of trying to entertain your toddler while taking their picture.....I have also captured plenty of these moments as well and those too still make life pretty damn sweet...

I'm so lucky to have you in my life.......I'm so lucky to be your one and only mama!

A Spoon

Don't know how else to say this so I'll just come right out with it.....I have been letting my kid eat with his hands for 18 months now, so I think it's time we start with a spoon, don't you think?  I know it's probably bad, however Dr. Running said it wasn't a big deal and just to start giving him his "utensils" when he eats...It's not that he hasn't had his own silverware sitting in our silverware drawer and it's not that he's wasn't interested in using one.....it was my fault so now we are full force with using silverware and he is doing pretty good...We practiced with some corn the other night.  Probably not the best choice, but that's what was on the menu, along with roasted chicken, and some cantaloupe.

Tubby Time

I've said it a gazillion times... I know but Grey loves his tubby time so here are some pics of our tubby last night!

Daddy's Gone Fishing...

Nate left on a fishing trip Wednesday afternoon and will be getting back tomorrow!  Grey and I have been spending our afternoons going for walks, shopping at Target, shopping at the mall for Mother's Day gifts, ordering out, and just hanging out together.  However, Nate told the two of us before he left that our only job we had to remember was to feed the fish!  I don't "do" the fish tank....it's all Nate!  He cleans it, he cleans the things in it, and he feeds the fish.  I'm just there to tell him if it looks good or not!  lol! ;)

But this time it was our duty to feed the fish and Grey did a pretty good job!  Check it out for yourself.  I took these this morning.  Once again I was playing with the settings on my camera.....I don't like using the flash so I look for the best light in the house and then if it's too dark I have been bumping up my ISO - I kow listen to me....I am trying to keep up on my reading with photography...argghhh- there is so much to learn!

We keep the fish food in the entertainment center...it's just easy because it's right by the fish tank and of course Grey knows where EVERYTHING is so here he is getting it out...

The only problem is that when you tell Grey it's time to feed the fish he thinks he needs to get ALL our fish tank supplies out...see this bottle is NOT fish food

So I handed him the right stuff and I let him pour it in which Nate does NOT let him do but now is gonna see on our blog how mommy lets Grey feed the fish...hah! Needless to say the fish got LOTS to eat today


and then when Grey is done he usually puts the fish supplies in the VCR/DVD player...I know nice huh?

Oh and just so i don't forget to write this down for myself...Grey went for his 18 month wellness check and is doing Great!  He is 34in long (still 90th percent for height) and 24lbs for weight!  He is not gaining any weight these days because he is sooooooooooooooooo unbelievably busy, but Dr. Running said that is totally normal!  So, life with our 18 month old is going great!
