Yard work and kickin' off summer...

My next big project here is our landscaping.  I've been really 'working' on this since March.  I've been googling different things and pinning things on pinterest like crazy.  I'm actually really getting into it.  Personally, I think landscaping can make or break the outside of your home.  With that being said, we've been working with a few local nurseries because I want a professional 'plan'.  However, we still have not narrowed it down as to what we are going to do.  I have 3 plans in my purse right now and for the past couple weeks I've made my mom drive around with me at night and look at various different landscapes;)

I did go buy some perrenials last week because I got on one of my 'kicks' and thought 'I' can just do this, so this is what I have right now in my front yard.

I know I like the barberry bushes, boxwoods, hastas, and daylilies.  I just need someone to come here and tell me where to plant them now:)


I do know that I can't look at my front yard like this much longer...It's driving me absolutely CRAZY!

So, that's what I've been doing here ALL week.  Nate was on his annual fishing trip and got home Friday afternoon.  The kids were so excited to see him.



Other than that, our first week of summer was only in the 70s so not quite swimming weather yet.

Daddy's Home!

and we're so happy!  We missed him!  

Nate finally got home last night.  He was gone all week fishing.

 Grey attacked him the minute he walked in and tootie put her arms out for him to pick her up...and I ran out the door - hahaha!  Just kidding...

Nate might have forgotten to rub in the sunscreen all the way...nice white eyebrows -ha!

So today we relaxed by the pool...

Well some of us relaxed while others were 'scooting' around

 and we tried out some new floaties today thanks to grammy Ann...the other ones kept flying off...

Grey was a little cold...

 

 

That's what our day looked like today...We're sure glad Nate's home!

More from Nate's Birthday

Greyson was really excited about the birthday card for his daddy.  He picked it out all by himself.  That is after I had to read him about 10 different ones at the store.

We piled into bed bright and early with daddy on his birthday...

We were sure to remind him that he had a fishing pole on US coming...he had to be the one to pick it out though...so we I drew him a picture...

They are sure crazy about their daddy let me tell you...

and my card...you can always expect your name in cool bubble letters on the front...ha!

And since Nate had a fishing pole from us coming his way we thought we'd ALL take a ride with him to his favorite store...

And then Grey saw this...I think we spent the majority of our time in this isle...(the kids and I that is...we let Nate do some shopping on his own)

We ate some lunch here...(yep there's a restaraunt inside and bowling also) we decided to skip the bowling this time...

We take our birthday cards and trips to bass pro shops very seriously...
