16 months

Well here we are Grey....the 2nd of March and you're a whole month older! 16 months of angel baby...16 months of baby laughs......16 months of baby babbling.....16 months of pure Baby Love and I love it!

What are you up to these days...

• you are still a babbling machine.........and to be honest you are really not saying that many words yet but the two that rank the highest in our house are dadda and mama
• you know exactly what you want......you go to your binkies when you want one (but we have to remind you only when you sleep because you LOVE those so much) you point to the dishes when you want to sit on the counter. You point to the cupboard for your sippy cup. You point to the window when you want to look outside. You get your books when you want to read and so on......
• You are still currently taking two naps a day, but I have a feeling we are going to get to one a day in the near future. You take one at 9 and one at 2. You usually go to bed between 7:30 and 8.
• You usually get up in the am anywhere from 6:40 to 7.
• And yes you do still occasionally get up in the middle of the night and I change your diaper and then I rock you which I still do love.
• It's funny though because it will be the middle of the night and you will start your "shimmy" and "shake" to dance but I just have to remind you that it's "night night" time and you go back down.
• You get a wide grin on your face when you see grammy Ann's house in the morning......you squeal like crazy when you see grandma Joyce..........and you love Fridays because that means you are with Papa Mike and Uncle Alex
• Every Friday you and Papa Mike watch for the garbage truck in the morning. You LOVE trucks and school buses. Whenever you see a school bus or anyone for that matter you start waving. You love to wave at people.
• You also light up just as much when we pull into grammy and papa Ernat's driveway. You always know right where you're going and walk in like "hey i'm here!" Papa Ernat and grammy light up too when they see you.
• Papa Davey is always talkin' about you at the bar....we've heard from numerous people just how proud of his grandson he is!
• You are able to make quite a few animal sounds
• you can point to all body parts and i mean ALL of them....don't worry the men in you're life have made sure you know where the "important" parts are too...
• You are pretty lean these days ( I mean you have never really been one for baby chub - maybe chubby cheekers but that's about it).....You are kinda in a non-eating mode........don't know why it just kinda started. But, not to worry, because I know kids go through these phases.
• Usually for breakfast you go with a banana or an orange along with some oatmeal and if you won't eat the oatmeal that day we go with a nutri grain bar.
• The biggest remarks we get about you Grey is that you are such a "happy" baby boy and about your hair of course. People always always comment on your curls....it's like your baby trademark or something.
• You still have about 12 teeth. All 4 molars are in now and the top upper left is still making its way down completely
• You have taken on the world of books now! At the beginning you wanted nothing to do with them but now you love to read. Especially before bed time you pull out almost ALL of your books and we skim through them all!
• Bedtime is for you and mommy. We usually lay together for a little bit and then I put you in your crib.
• You still LOVE your daddy. You follow him everywhere and when he leaves in the morning for work you cry for about 2 seconds but then you are okay.
• You still love your tubby and love to take showers with either me or your dad.
• You really don't watch TV during the week at ALL. We turn on Disney for you on the weekends and you still like to watch Handy Manny.
• You have started to throw the occasional tantrum when you don't get something you want or it doesn't go exactly your way....you throw yourself to the floor and start this real dramatized type of cry
• you blow kisses to everyone and generously give kisses these days too
• You LOVE LOVE LOVE to dance and I must say you are pretty good......those moves of yours are quite comical

The list goes on and on Grey at 16 months. But, most importantly we are so proud of you and you make our lives complete! You have just been a complete joy since day 1. There really is no other way to describe you other than just a happy/layed back /go with the flow baby boy. Thanks for making our lives so special. We love you Grey!
