Livy's HOME!!!

My cousin Livy just got back last night from Nevada. Her dad lives out there and she was visiting for a bit, so we were more than ready for her to come home. We decided to have a party at Grandma Joyce's house to welcome her home. Just so you know Livy is a big fan of Ariel-you know the mermaid--or so that's what they keep telling me, so we got her an Ariel cake and everything...It sure was yummy. My mom gave me a little to taste.

Now my buddy is back and she can keep me out of trouble when I am at Grandma Joyce's house and hopefully she can introduce me to buttered noodles. She is quite a fan...I'm sure she'll show me the ropes. What are cousins for???

Here's the Livster and her fancy Ariel cake...

I wanted to get my hands on that...

Grandpa Hank even bought coors light for the party...The boys liked em'-----the beers were the "tall boys" CHECK EM' OUT...

My cousin Mary was there too...She is sure good at feeding me...

Then we played a bit with all of Grandma Joyce's toys....what can I say the woman is always prepared especially for little kids...she's a pro by now...

Goofy Mary

Hey can I see that?

One more cut through...

and I feel bad because I didn't even know it. That is how good my baby is. I have to brag here because I really don't know what a cranky baby is. I mean of course Greyson has his moments just like every other single baby when he is a bit crabby. However, pretty much the only time Grey is crabby is when he is tired and I know he needs a nap.

So back to my post...Today we had to run to Home Depot and I was checking out and I couldn't help but notice that Grey kept tugging at his ear. He would not stop. I immediately thought -oh no...ear infection...but it wasn't red or anything and we had just been to the doctor like a day ago and Dr. Running said how good his ears looked...then when we got home i noticed a slight little rash on his face...i was getting his lunch ready and i decided to stick my finger in his mouth to feel around and sure enough right on the top -to the right (his right) a tooth had cut through. So, then I felt really bad and I did give him some Motrin because he was really tugging at that right ear. And come to think of it he has not been sleeping too great but I kinda thought it was a growth spurt or something.

So, now the G-man has a total of three teeth....

So, Grey just so you know when you are reading this someday at 9 months of age you currently have three teeth...woohoo!

Uncle Just is home...

for a short visit...and we needed a "doctor's" opinion. Auntie Mims is suffering from a slight sore throat. According to Uncle Just he did happen to see some white spots....so, we steered clear of her...
Uncle Just came into town last night and so we went to visit him down at granny deb's and papa davey's house. His "hospital" schedule is about to turn quite hectic so he thought he should get home while he can...
The examination...

the throat...

Kevin and Grey (Auntie Mims boyfriend)

Then while granny Deb was cleaning up the kitchen (I was helping again by climbing the dishwasher) but everyone else decided to try and see who could throw grapes up in the air and catch them in their mouth...don't ask me why I just work here
Here's papa trying to get one in Mimi's mouth...oh boy!

Papa tried to catch one---look at his mouth...I think he missed

Kevin trying to throw one into Mimi's mouth (Kevin was the best at it...if truth be known) Again, I have no idea why they started to do this, but hey it was interesting none the less...

Then after dinner granny needed some help moving some appliances around at the "new" house, so we headed up there...Now what was I to do??? I was not about to just sit there while the guys moved appliances, so Kevin pulled up one of these old chairs that has wheels on it (granny wants to get rid of them). He put me in there and pushed me around the driveway...I loved it! Good job Kevin...

Look! I just sat there...can you believe it?

Faster buddy

and again

I was all sprawled(sp?) out...

Then auntie pushed

and again

Then Kevin pushed the three of us (that goofy auntie)

Okay ride's over kid....I'm tired now

He made his way up onto the trampoline...

and all he wanted to do was chew on the handle bars!

Last night the three of us were downstairs playing and Grey decided to try and get onto that trampoline he thinks is so cool. (http://alicianateandgrey.blogspot.com/2009/07/my-trampoline.html) So I have some footage for you...Pretty uneventful but just thought I would share his beginning "jumpy" skills with you...

Sidenote - We took Grey to the doctor yesterday for his 9 month check up with Dr. Running. Everything looks good and Grey is on target with all his skills (better referred to as his "tricks"). However, I was a little teeny tiny bit off with his height and weight. He actually weighed a little less at her office. He is 20lbs and 5oz-so, very close to 21 and he is 28in. long. And it made it a whole lot better that our little man did not have to get any shots. None of those nasty shots until he is a whole year old!

Just Another Sunday night Dinner...

Well almost...kinda...maybe...
As you all know every Sunday we take a little drive to Granny Deb's house and papa Davey's for what is referred to as "Sunday Night Dinner." And it has just kinda started to be a ritual that after dinner and after granny cleans up the dishes she puts me in the sink to cool down, pipe down, wind down whatever have you...Well, this Sunday I wanted to rev' things up a bit and help Granny with the dishes...

I climbed up on her dishwasher so she would know exactly what I wanted to do...

No luck, the crazy dog lady just smiled at me and said "no, no Mister"

Then the dishes were done so I knew what that meant but it just wasn't getting done....So, I had to tell the crazy dog lady aka granny Deb just what I wanted....so i tried to crawl into the sink...

Kinda funny...she did end up starting my water at this point

However, just as I was about to get into that sink I had some stink of my own to get rid of...Look at my Auntie Mims face...Yeah right like she's never smelled a stinky diaper before???

Finally.....In the sink for my tubby...I love to suck on a wet washcloth

And would you check this out...drive up service at the sink...I mean what kid gets his granny to give him a tubby and his Auntie Mims to feed him ice cream at the same time??? Life is good!

Okay I think I'm done now...Thanks ladies...

Now it was time to try and put my PJ's on...Apparently Auntie Mims thought it was cool to use my pants as a "cool hat"....we'll just tell her she looked cool anyway...

Okay...I did the dishes....I had my tubby....I'm in my PJ's....and I'm ready for bed...

Even though it took both my daddy and granny to dress me! Hey what can I say....I'm sure livin the dream!!! lol!

Happy 9 Months Grey.......

Hip Hip Hooray I'm 9 months old Today!

The profile

Those chubby little sausages that I love

I have heard various people around me talk about the whole bit---Can you imagine what your life was like without him/her?????? I never really understood that whole concept until Greyson...Now, I can definitely understand when people say that because we can't......most definitely CANNOT imagine our lives without Grey!!!!
There is nothing better than being able to give a good life to a child especially one that you have created. It's the best feeling in the world. I absolutely love being a mom...I love knowing that Greyson really needs me...I love knowing that at times he only wants ME nobody else just ME...I love going into his room in the morning and seeing the biggest toothy smile you could ever imagine...I love the squeals he does before every tubby...I love the way he follows Nate around everywhere when he gets home from work...I love his chubby little feet (they look like stuffed sausages)...I love the way he smells...I love his hair...I love when he's tired and he nuzzles his head into my neck/shoulder...I love playing with him....I love watching him learn new things...I love teaching him new things...I love watching him with his grandma's, grandpa's, and his aunts and uncles...I love the piggy face he does and his new surprised expression...I love rocking him to sleep and the way he pats my cheek...I love reading 'Goodnight Moon' to him before bedtime (it's a classic)...I love his big blue eyes...
His "tricks" at Nine months
  • army crawls everywhere
  • pulls himself up on anything and everything

  • walks along things
  • says mamamamama

  • and bababababa

  • understands "NO" (he hears it a lot)

  • extremely nosy

  • notices everything

  • loves my cell phone
  • likes gadgets

  • likes to scrunch up his nose like a piggy and snorts too

  • loves to play "I'm gonna get you"

  • loves to be around other little kids
  • he holds his own bottle for the most part

  • loves to mimic you (especially faces)

  • thinks great grandpa Hank is the next best thing since chicken noodle soup because he feeds him anything and everything (I mean the other day he fed my kid sauerkraut and Grey didn't even make a face or bat an eye-lol!)

  • is super out-going and has the best personality -(very layed back)

  • nods his head back and forth like he's saying NO

  • blows raspberries like it's nobody's business

Greyson we love you more than you will ever know---I guess that comes with the territory of parenting----You are a complete joy to be around and all you ever do is bring smiles to those around you...Greyson is currently 28 1/2 in. long and weighs about 21lbs. Happy 9 months little man!!!!

*BEWARE* Going on a little OPRAH SIDENOTE here*

One day last week she had on some popular country singers such as...Sugarland, Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, and Darius Rucker...
I happened to get all teary eyed because Darius Rucker performed his hit single titled It won't be like this for long...It makes all the sense in the world of course and is so true. So, if you haven't heard it click on my link to listen to it (turn up your volume) Even if you're not a country fan you should listen to it...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=at_lUnFjXg8

Pssssst..........It's August.............So you know what that means???

My mom has to start thinking about school! I don't know about this. But for now she is going to be a woman of many talents and try to entertain me and clean at the same time. You better wish her luck.
