Because of all things FRESH of course. Tis' the season for all of those great fruits and veggies! I love this time of year just for that reason. My fridge is filled right now will all of these delicious things. Grey and I had to go to the grocery store yesterday and I have to say we only shopped on the outer part which is what they say to do. We bought tons of fruit and veggies. This is what my counter looked like last night before supper. Fresh green beans, fresh lettuce, fresh green peppers from Nate's garden, and 2 fresh garden tomatoes from a friend. So, aside from the peppers we decided to dine on BLT's last night. They were sooooo good!
This was our dinner last night.....toasted bread, bacon (from the grill), lettuce, and tomato and some fresh green beans for a side along with grape salad.
Just in case you were wondering - I don't like to fry bacon in the house if I don't have to because I don't like the mess or the smell it leaves. So, the best thing is the grill. Just take a cookie sheet with edges (so it keeps the grease from dripping into the grill) line it with foil and put your bacon on it and then put that on the grill - it's so good and NO MESS! They were sure yummy~!
Grey diggin' in...
One little green bean for one little toddler
Greyson loves his green beans and they are all the better when they're FRESH! That's key of course!
Oh and Nate has decided to do some "canning" -hah! He's taking his gardening skills to a whole new level. These are peppers.....he figures he'll start with the jalapeno's...
