Tired?
Most definitely.
Baby Blues?
Maybe a little that seemed to really hit me today.
Sore Boobs?
Yep a little.
2 week growth spurt?
I think so.
Still trying to adjust to everything?
You better believe it!
Showered lately?
I have been able to surprisingly even if it is at 11:00 at night unless we've had a dr. appt. then I manage to get ready along with my 2 kids which is a true miracle at the moment.
In Love?
Most definitely with my sweet angel Grey and our newest addition Miss Sailor and of course Nate too;).
This is just the tip of the ice berg. I'm still pretty homebound and Sailor seems to be at a 2 week growth spurt because she has been nursing CONSTANTLY! This was her on Tuesday right before we left to go to the dr. for a check up. I gave her a nice warm sponge bath, got her all dressed up in her purple for the day, get her in her carseat and she spits up a BIG one and it is all over. Ugh just seems to be my life this week.

Sailor had a great check up and is up to 7lbs 15oz - so she is definitely growing from her birth weight which was 7lbs 2oz. She is a nursing champ, however I have tried to pump a bottle and she WILL NOT take one from ME yet. She will take a bottle from Nate but not me (she knows what she gets from me). Sassy Sailor is proving to be a little stinker with her mama. I just think it's good for babies to nurse but also take a bottle from someone else in case I need to run an errand or am somewhere else etc...So I am working on that.
Otherwise I think I have had some bouts with the baby blues. Just feeling overwhelmed, tired, a little sad, tantrums from Grey and I just don't have the strength to fight him. But I know it's all normal - right? Because that's what I keep telling myself anyway. And the fact that there's always tomorrow. So ok I'm ready for tomorrow to come already because I AM EXHAUSTED today.
Otherwise Greyson has been going over to Papa Davey's (Davey is officially retired now) and Dee Dee's house in the mornings for a little bit and then Deb brings Grey back home for his nap time(1:30-4:00 or 4:30 give or take). After nap time it's been play time for me and Grey and of course more nursing in between and then Nate gets home and I start supper. We all FINALLY sit down together and eat then it's tubby time and "wind down" time, book time, a little bit of TV for Grey, then put Grey to bed, nurse Sailor again and lights out for everyone. That's been my week thus far.
Pictures from our week...
Chillin' with his 2 kiddos...
Greyson was entertaining us the other night with his country guitar.
while Sails caught some zzzzzzzzz's
And look who's trying to get his sister to jump on the band wagon of binkies...
And Sailor just doesn't want much to do with the binkie yet. By this time Grey was already hoarding them in his bassinet - lol! But I do think they comfort babies so I am still trying out different ones for Sailor - I told ya she can be a stinker already.
Trust me he REALLY tried and then wanted them for himself-ha! I told him that was NOT gonna work.
Too funny! Grey and his so called "duties"...The Big Brother...that he is!
ahh, hang in there! having more then one child is definitely challenging, mine aren't even newbies anymore and i still can barely make it into the shower. i hope you can get some rest! grey giving sailor the binkie is too cute! i love it!
ReplyDeleteHang in there! :) I'm sure it will get better as time goes on. Grey looks like he's doing a great job with his "duties" ~too funny!
