Thank goodness for Grandmas and Grandpas

So I am still very much recovering.  The second time around has been much harder for me than the first time.  And with that I mean surgery.  This Wednesday will already be 2 weeks.....geesh...it goes fast.  I have just felt wiped, sore, exhausted, and MORE SORE.  Nate went back to work this past Tuesday, so my mom came over every morning last week to help me out and Dee Dee took Greyson every afternoon to the pool.  It was wonderful.  I could rest and concentrate on Sailor and not have to worry about a thing.  Papa Hank stopped from time to time also...grammy Joyce made me my favorite treats too that he would come with...scotch a roos...and I may or may not have finished the container already...

And it was so nice having my mom to talk to in the morning.

and she loved her snuggle time with her grandbabies just as much...

big yawns in the morning

diaper changes to take care of...

sponge baths to give...

and more snuggling

and lots of irresistable kisses

from mommy too...can you tell shes attacking me for you know what...

and while I was feeding Sailor this particular morning my mom and I caught this.....

and this made us laugh...my breast pump piece in Grey's mouth...hah!  So my mom grabbed my camera and caught the moment...

Grey has been so good with Sailor, however we have had a lot of tantrums lately.  That is the big thing I've noticed.  Nothing towards Sailor.  Acutally all he wants to do is kiss her head and rub her head.  But he's been much more sensitive about EVERYTHING else.  And he always wants to be on top of me when I'm feeding Sailor.  But he is still getting used to all the NEW stuff around here.  I'm so proud of how he's been with his new baby sister.

His new shirt from Dee Dee we must show you...

 check out this face...ha!

So aside from being homebound we have also been doing yardwork of course...These two anyway.

Grey wanted to "pick" weeds Friday night so he insisted on wearing these blue rubber gloves.

He was knee deep into it...

And for me, I am LOVING my moby wrap.  Georgia bought it for me...and it came with a booklet for all these different kinds of wraps to do for different ages.  So for right now we are sticking with the newborn hold.

And everytime I put Sailor in it she falls right to sleep on my chest and I just love it.  It's like having her attached to me!!!
Well I'm off for now...
I hope all of you are having a relaxing weekend.

  1. ohhh the MOBY wrap I saw those. Does it replace the baby bjourn for new borns?...I'm already freaking out about having to handle a newborn and a yorkie at the same time (ie. taking him out)
I was contemplating which carrier to start with. Luv the pics too!

  3. Thanks Rach - scotch a roos are the best!

And hey D! Yes I love my moby wrap. It's good for Nate too. We also have a baby bjourn - I like both. But I do think the moby might be more comfy. Literally I have been putting Sailor in it everyday and it gives me two free hands and she goes right to sleep. Def. would help for Donner too-lol! (the free hands I mean)
