Introducing Sailor Ann Ernat who was brought to us on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 8:21am.
I was scheduled for a c-section on this day, but would you believe it if I told you my water broke at 1:15am Wednesday morning?!!
Because I couldn't believe it and apparently the lil' peanut was ready no matter what. ha! So at 1:15 Deb came over to be with Grey. And Nate and I headed to the hospital where I labored until about 7:30am. The labor was nothing I couldn't handle. Apparently I was a little dehydrated so they gave me fluids and I felt much better and the contrations really subsided and I was able to get some sleep before my surgery, which was a good thing. And at 7:30am they wheeled me down to prep me and get me ready. The surgery started right on time at 8am and twenty minutes later they were all yelling "it's a girl" and I just started tearing up. I kept asking "is she healthy" "is she healthy" and Nate replied "she's good Leesh, she's real good" in his cool/calm chill voice that he does.
I couldn't wait to hold her in my arms. She's just an angel.
Sweeter than pie!
Daddy holding his little girl.
The proud parents right after I got out of recovery. All I wanted was ice chips.
The day I had Sailor my dad ran to Sasso and picked me up my "S" charm...I had to have that;)
So now I have my G and my S
This was right before they were wheeling me in for my C-section on Wednesday and I kind of lost it because Greyson was yelling down the hall - "I wanna go wif her" /"mommy don't go" and I started crying. Nate calmed him down and handed him over to his grammy's and then Nate was able to come into the surgery room.
And after surgery this is what we got!!!! Sailor Ann Ernat weighing 7lbs. 2oz. 19in long. Talk about a peanut...She's so tiny and dainty! And by now we have a gazillion lil' nicknames for her. Such as, Sassy Sailor, Sails, Sailor of the Sea (SEA), Say Say, Sailey, Sassafrass...I love all of them and make me smile.
Greyson was so sweet with her. Doesn't get much better than this!~ I love hearing him say her name.
Me and my babes! Special moments that my heart will NEVER forget.
Our family of four...WE ARE IN LOVE!
The next 3 days Nate and I spent in the hospital together with our new little Sailor Ann. We didn't have to worry about Grey because he was either with Dee Dee or Grammy Ann or sleeping at grandma Joyces. He LOVES to sleep at grammy Joyce's -ha! It was wonderful getting the family time in and bonding with Sailor. We had visitors everyday and Grey came up twice a day to check on his lil' sis.
So let the visiting begin....
Great grandma Joyce and Sailor. (Auntie Amy came up to see Sailor and made her some "first bows" - I couldn't wait to get her in some BIG bows)

ReplyDeleteYAY Sailor pics!! Ok two things...1) my fav pic is grandpa hank with that smile on this face! Love love love it! 2) you know that the sign of a Delta Gamma is an anchor which means that Sailor fits right in and must go to a good college where Delta Gamma is and is good.
