What we've been enjoying...

Life around here has been very crazy.  And although craziness gives me some sort of fun high - I am longing for some......I think I'll call it normalcy.  We have not had much of it lately and the person I'm feeling bad about is my Grey.  We are trying to do our best explaining it to him on a daily basis but he knows and can feel that I'm a little stressed.  He's been a little whiny and a little clingy and I know it's just because of EVERYTHING going on.

We are in the process of buying a home.  And my 3 year old's main question has been - "mama where are you taking all my toys?"  We let him keep one big bin of his favorite toys and the rest are in storage.  Our house is getting emptier and emptier and the echo keeps getting more defined.

I have not taken any pictures of the house yet but if all goes well you know I will.  I am using the word 'process' because this week we are having all the inspections done and we are hoping they all come back good.  If they DO NOT we might have to rethink some things.  We are currently renting a storage unit so I have been packing up our whole house basically and we have been bringing boxes and bins little by little.  We have to be out of our home by August 17th.  With all that being said, it's kind of hard to pack up a house with 2 babies.  I have been taking time to do so during nap time.  However, I felt like a bad mom yesterday because I pretty much let Grey watch TV most of the day while I packed up boxes and Sailor just scooted all around. (i laugh because my Sailor could care less - I hope she always goes with the flow this easy) And we NEVER do that so Grey was kind of going crazy by the end of the day and I couldn't blame him so I made him practice his letters (upper case and lower case) before he went to bed-ha!  (that was to make me feel better;).  I felt guilty though so I promised him last night that I would take him to the pool today.  The past few days have been cloudy which also gave me more incentive to pack things up, but today we made it to the pool and Grey had so much fun with his buddies.

So I give you the past few days or so:  what we've been enjoying...

Impromptu tea parties.
And when I look at these pics I know it's okay to stay home some days and I don't have to feel guilty.  There was definitely some good playing/learning going on.

Greyson did the pouring and Sailie offered cake;)

Cheers!

It's only when Hi-ho cheerio was pulled out that it got a little hairy.  You see Grey knows the ins and outs of the entire game where Sailie just wants to throw the cherries.  So, Grey and I moved our game to a 'higher' table.

But at first Sailor was trying to make a mad dash for it with the game board - check out her standing on her own...
Grey taking over and more of the stance

Another minor bump in the road with hi-ho cheerio is that everyone wants their turn with the spinner

So as I said - it was up on the kitchen table for some serious game time where Grey told me very 'matter-of-factly' -"mommy you are the purple cherries and I am the yellow cherries"

My mom and I had a bridal shower to go to...nice little break from the craziness where I could actually sit down and enjoy a lunch;)

Friday night we went down to Dee Dee and Papa Davey's to visit our cousin Braeden...

He sure knows how to rock an elmo shirt - doesn't he?!

Finding leaves in odd places;)

taking steps every chance she gets...

enjoying gator rides...

They eventually let Sailie in but they were hesitant...ha!
She's lovin' it...can't you tell?!

We quickly moved onto the golf cart...and don't worry nate's shorts are not really this short - it's only because he's sitting - ha!

enjoying all this beautiful land we have to ride on...Grey was trying to catch the golf cart in the gator...

the flag gives the golf cart just the right touch -don't you think?!

and check this out -Braeden - he's already proving to be a one hander behind the wheel...

enjoying some tubby time...
my princess and
my shark
(no idea why he had my hot glue gun out)

What are you enjoying this week?
