It started bright and early because we all know my kids are early risers...6am to be exact...Nate had to work but he made sure to wish Sailie a Happy Birthday and tons of birthday kisses before he left.
I made the kids waffles and while the three of us ate breakfast together we sang the birthday song to Sailor....she made sure to dance along with our singing...it was another one of our morning dance parties in the kitchen...
Soon after our dance party my phone was on overload with texts and videos from family wishing Sailor a Happy Birthday! She's one lucky little girl! Here are the two videos she listened to bright and early...
This one is from our sweet little Jayne girl...actually my mom and dad (grammy Ann and Papa Mike) are visiting with Jayne right now so they were not around...but they made sure to call of course...
After that I got the kids ready for the day and dropped them off at my grandmas while I went to the Y for a bit. After that Greyson went with Dee Dee garage 'saling' and I had to take Sailor to the doctor. Yes, it just so happened that her one year appt. landed on her actual birth day. We didn't get any shots on Friday. We were due for some but I opted out of them and we will just get them at her next appt. Dr. Bob said it was no big deal. I just didn't want to do that to her on her birthday. Sailor weighed in at 20lbs right on the nose! After that we met Grey back at home, had some lunch and then it was down for naps.
When nap time was over, Auntie Mims surprised Sailor with a cupcake and guess what we did again? Sang Happy Birthday of course!
This was how Sailor chose to eat it...ha!
Silly girl
Look at that face full of frosting...
And to end the night, Dee Dee and Papa Davey met us at the pool where we enjoyed a couple cocktails and some dinner from Garzanelli's. And, YES, we sang Happy Birthday to Sailor one more time;)
My children are so loved:)
and I forgot to mention the climbing you are doing...you think you are big stuff...the one leg goes up and then you make your way up onto whatever it is
this might be one thing I dislike about this stage - because you are fearless and that scares me...
Oh baby girl I look at you and I can't believe you are ONE...
and I would just like to mention that you are a PRO with a straw...we taught you that early -
and my lil' fish...look at him with his goggles -ha!
So that's what your actual 'birth' day looked like little girl...Shortly after this, we headed home for baths and bedtime.
Sailor had a FULL day and was very tired. She barely made it through her tubby!
We have not had the BIG first birthday party yet...but it's coming...
Here are the invites I made...
So, the 'Sail-ebration' will be contd. in about 2 weeks:)
