Planting Day for the Ernats!

My mom is running behind this year. She usually has her flowers in by Mother's Day but not this year and I do have to say I think I am part of the reason for that-hah! Anyway, our Saturday started with some lunch at Quiznos and I got to sit in a high chair there and I did pretty good and just ripped up all their napkins - okay not alllll their napkins but quite a few and then I threw them on the floor but mom and dad picked them up so we were all good. And my mommy gave me a taste of her cheddar broccoli soup and I gobbled it right up. I don't let too many things slip by my mouth you know. Then we headed to HyVee where my mom got her flowers and my dad decided he was gonna do some planting of his own. Peppers! Yep, never done it before, has no clue what he has to do but gosh darnet he's gonna have all kinds of peppers this summer! And while all this was going on back at the ranch, I slept for part of it and the other part of it was watching my mommy plant flowers and do yard work from inside my little pack-n-play! I was a good little boy I must add. And I especially liked it when my mommy took the hose to her flowers because I enjoyed the light mist coming through my quarters! Hah!hah! I will leave you with some photos of our great day so that you get the "picture." We hope all of you have a great weekend!

Here's me after lunch today - some sweet potatoes and papaya for the first time- mmmmm good!

Hey what can I say I'm just a happy kid and the woman behind the camera just does a pretty good job of gettin' me goin'

Here's me relaxin' while my mommy and daddy do their planting...

There I am again!

Hi there!

Here you have it - the head honcho planting his beloved peppers -we will have to keep you posted on those babies...

And here is my number one mama planting her pretty flowers...

My Friday night happy hour!

My Friday night happy hour consisted of a visit from Granny Ann, Papa Mike, and Uncle Alex which is always nice. When they arrived my dad was at the bar and my mommy was visiting with her friend Camron. So, naturally, my granny Ann told my mom and her friend to go hang out for a little bit while they watched me. So, my mom and Camron went for a walk and I stayed home to play with the "grandfolks." And Camrons kids were here too-Macklin and Lyla-so I had lots of entertainment. Here are a few pics of my Friday night.

Hey, there is a thing I can scoot towards-perfect for Happy Hour...

Still tryin' to get there...

Not a Fun Friday!

Well Grey and I both had to visit the doctors office today.

My dad finished up his school year today with a big breakfast at his school and final meeting to tie things up and my mom took the day off. My mom had to go to her "female" doctor if you will for that fun annual "thing." And when she came back from that she had to take me to see good ol' Dr. Running. I have a little cough that she was worried about. She thought it was just from teething but it seems to have gotten worse - you know that first time mom syndrome and she was telling me something about it being Friday and didn't want to take any chances over the weekend - you know I do have to say the woman tries to fill me in on everything and I love the sound of her voice but I just don't always listen to the full story! Anyways, doctor Running said it is not in my chest so that is a good thing and just to keep running the humidifier in my room, so we will try that for now. So not such a great Friday when you have to go to the Doctor, but things could always be worse.

Thought for the day:
Don't be afraid to call the doctor - better safe than sorry and there is nothing wrong with piece of mind. That is my own little thought for today. Hope all of you have a fabulous Friday and don't forget to have "Happy Hour"

Throw me up higher Dad!!!

Greyson is quite the squealer these days and he absolutely needs your full attention or else......Look out! The scooting is really taking off - he looks like he is doing the worm. He has rug burn on his elbows and knees from all his scooting. So, maybe crawling is right around the corner. Here is a video of daddy and Grey having some fun. He loves to be thrown up in the air and it is a workout for Nate so here you have it!!

Good ol' fashion weekend with family and friends - What more can ya ask for?!?!?

We had a fun-filled/action packed weekend let me tell you and I was absolutely exhausted. I told you that Uncle Just was home and Uncle Adam and Auntie Georgie, so we started the weekend on Saturday night down at the Peru boat club. We like it down there because it is pretty kid friendly. We just hang out on the deck and eat and it is very relaxing. We had everybody with us and my cousin Mary pushed me around in the stroller on the deck so I was pretty occupied. Then, on Sunday we headed to Lake Wildwood. This was my first time going other than in my mommy's belly - I finally got to see the place my pops is all googoo gaga over! We had a good old fashion picnic at the lake, enjoyed the beach, soaked up some sun, and my dad gave boat rides to people in the family of course on his awesome fishing boat. I didn't sleep much on Sunday so my Memorial Day was spent napping most of the day and it ended with a trip to Walmart with my mom and dad. So, all in all it was a pretty good weekend. And my mom went picture crazy of course - so here you have it -enjoy the pics!

The Boot Scootin' Grey!

Grey has started to scoot. Nate was workin' in the basement the other night and Grey started to scoot towards him. We were able to catch it on video. You know here's only two clips for you to see it-hah! hah! First child -right! That poor middle one - just kidding.

There's a burp in this one for ya too - we just happened to catch that too-fun fun!

Trampoline Fun!

My cousin Livy just got a really cool toy - well that's what it looks like to me anyway and a really big one I might add. A trampoline!!! And you haven't heard the best part yet. My cousin Livy lives right next door to my great grandma Joyce and grandpa Hank and I am there alllll the time. So, you might find me over at Livy's house a lot more especially as I get bigger. I already tried it out, but of course I am not able to bounce yet, but once I learn how--Looooook out!

Look at Liv jump - WOW she's really good at that!

It sure was a beautiful day!

Business at the "Grey Inn"

Granny Ann and Grandpa Mike were sure good to me this weekend!

Let's just say that business was steady this weekend. Granny Ann and Grandpa Mike visited me and my mom on Friday night and they played and read me books. Then my mommy put me down, but then I decided to wake up about 2am just because I wanted to go sleep with her in her bed and even though I am only a little baby - let's just say there is no bed big enough for me let alone when I have to sleep with someone else.

Then Saturday morning consisted of waking up and having mommy make me some fresh applesauce - Yummy-then a nice warm morning bath and then off to dreamland for a bit. I think my mommy snuck in a workout and did some of my laundry I left for her - ya know I like to give her a little bit of free time here and there. Then I went to visit granny and grandpa Riva for a bit while my mommy ran to Walmart and did some errands. Granny Ernat sure checked in on us as well!- And Saturday night granny and grandpa Riva treated me and my mommy to dinner. We were going to go to Rips but the line was out the door - and lets face it people when you are a 6 month old teething baby who never wants to be held there was no way we were waiting in line. So, instead we tried JT's in Cherry and it was pretty good! We rounded up the night with a bottle and off to bed - but I do have to tell you I decided to wake up again and got to sleep with my mommy - I slept pretty good but I don't think she would say the same.

All in all it was a pretty good weekend and although business wasn't booming it sure was steady. And this was only the first advertisement I ever did. I will be sure to update you when The "Grey Inn" opens and I will be sure to fill you in on all the instructions that come with it and of course all the freebies that come with the business! And for those of you that are really wondering about the "Grey Inn" I can assure you it's really not all that bad or scary I might add!
PS - This is for the Skerston girls - At JT's on Saturday night we ran into Irene Claudnic and she saw Grey for the first time and the first thing she said was that she saw Skerston in the eyes - so who knows?!?!?

Weekend Stag!

Okay so the title of my post this Saturday is because Greyson's dad is off on a fishing trip. Yep so I am here to clean and take care of my Baby Grey but hey I'm not complaining! It's our weekend stag together!

a.k.a -One definition of stag is somebody unaccompanied at a social event: somebody who goes to a social function without a partner... Well I am without my "partner" this weekend-hah!

So, with that in mind my social event this weekend is called "the Grey Inn" - come join us anytime you want when Daddy's away! We will have lots for you to do! Such as cook, clean, laundry, and many more things that I can find for you!

I have to tell you though I am quite a handful these days. For starters, I am not a huge fan of sleeping - sleep is for the birds. And I tend to rollllllllllllll all over the place when you set me down so you might not want to wander very far, but if you do just shut all doors so I don't go tumbling! I'm also into food these days such as carrots, sweet potatoes, pears, applesauce and squash! So, if you come around just make sure you have those items on hand! I like to talk to you a lot so it would also help if you came ready to listen to me and only me because if you try to talk to someone else I will just yell and squeal as loud as I can until you listen to me again and if that doesn't work I will just have to start showing you my real tears and that just wouldn't be nice! Well I think those are enough instructions for the "Grey Inn" this weekend - now lets just see if we get any visitors! This should be interesting...........

So - just to recap -
If you can follow these simple instructions then "the Grey Inn" is the place for you for the perfect weekend getaway! And also people -we don't have all day to make a decision about visiting because "the Grey Inn" closes this Sunday - May 17th at about 3pm! So, book your decisions today!
************And if this doesn't pull you in than I don't know what will*****************

"The Grey Inn" is FREE - yep that's right folks you heard it Correctly - it's Free-so come on down and bring the kiddos!

Psssst.....Top Secret....Just Kidding-The Big Secret is out!!!

Greyson's grandma Deb and Papa Davey purchased a different home yesterday! I know can you believe it?!?!?!?!? They are not traveling too far but it will still be a new adventure for them! We will just call it that. And Papa Davey is gone on a fishing trip, so we told him to enjoy it while it lasts because when he gets home - we'll just say he's got lots of work to do -he,he! It sits on 6 acres of land, so Grey will have lots and lots of grass to cut someday, but I think Papa Davey will be a good "tipper." I think we are all still in a little bit of SHOCK! But, everything happens for a reason! So, everybody get strapped in and get ready for all the new details that are sure to follow with this exciting news!
Happy Friday everybody! Here is Grey just getting up from a nap and having some belly time. The little stinker is still not sitting up!!

Rough Day - 1st of many-right?!?!?

Well, we took Grey today for his 6 month check up. The doctor could not get over what a thriving baby Grey is. He ripped up all the paper on the table and was just a complete wild man in her office. Nate and I could not stop laughing at him. But, then, came..................the shots! Grey did not even cry for the first one in the thigh, but then came the second one and he let out his cries and the third.........i know, can you believe he had to get three shots in those little thighs ell I guess they are not little thighs. But we will recover of course. We picked up some Motrin now since we have doctors okay to use it and he will be back at it tomorrow I'm sure. He weighed 17lbs9oz and he 27in long. He is 50th percentile for weight and in the 75th percentile for height. He had a huge jump in length. So he is definitely groooowing! Here is Grey after his shots. He was pooped!

Poor Baby Grey!!!

Mother's Day weekend!

Okay, so my heart belongs to this one..........

But, these are my favorite "other" mommies in the whole wide world and Auntie Mims too of course!

All in all it was a really good weekend for the Ernat clan. Grammy and Grandpa Riva hosted Mother's Day this year and it was lots of fun. We sat outside on the deck all day and of course we had some awesome CHOW! Some yummy grilled pork chops! I opted for some sweet potatoes though myself. My daddy and I got my mommy a really nice card, some pretty flowers, and some new clothes. Hey what can I say she deserves it. Here is a pic of me with the Hostess - aka Grandma Ann!!!

My two granny's!

Me and Auntie Mims...

On Saturday, my mom and dad took me for a little stroll with my cool new shades! I decided to keep them on since - you know they did keep the sun out of my precious baby blues! Then we landed at Grandma Ann and Grandpa Mike's house and they put me in a cool new swing they got just for me. It hangs from their tree - it's a little crooked but it all works the same.
Mom was pushin' me!

Check out the stud...

Hey dad-what's up!

The Ernat clan!

Check out my ride - can you dig it?!?!? I got a pretty cool set of wheels let me tell you and I strut my stuff around all the time!
