InstaSunday

Our Sunday evening in pictures Instagram style...

Instagram App for iphone

Our Sunday Evening consisted of:
  • a car ride to Ottawa
  • to pick up Bianchi's pizza
  • time spent outside in the sprinkler
  • lots of unwanted laundry
  • piles of toys stacked up
  • and of course some cuddle time in there
Yeah so while I was watching True Blood tonight I was also having fun on my phone with Instagram and decided to blog about it.

Goooood Morning

from my nut house to yours truly...

Just a quick look into my morning for the moment...

Greyson woke up at 6am and came into bed with Sailor and I as Nate was out the door to work.  Stayed in bed for about an hour.  Greyson spills his orange juice all over the sheets.  TIME to get up.  Strip the bed and put all the sheets in the washer.  I decide Sailor needs a bath so of course Grey wants to get in with her.  Give both kids a bath.  Get them out one at a time.  Get Grey dressed while Sailor PROJECTILE poops all over.  Nice!  Clean that up and get Sailor dressed.  Hear buzzer from washer go switch loads.  Get Grey some cheerios and get him settled.  Sit down and nurse Sailor while Grey gets out all my kitchen utensils.  Spatula, spoons and so on.  He likes to do that along with piles of his legos in each and every room and it was only 9am.  Gotta love it.  After I nursed Sailor I tried to get these pics this morning of my 2 babes.  Take their pictures then try to clean up a bit as my 2 year old follows me from room to room leaving a trail of cheerios behind him.  Time to vaccuum.  So I pulled that out and begin to vacuum up.  Vacuuming done, Sailor content in her swing for the moment, and Grey watching some Sesame Street, so I run downstairs to blog and upload the pics I just took.  It is now 10:40am!  Wondering what the rest of this Wednesday holds for us.

Both bathed and ready to go...

Sailor is really filling out...love it!

Sailor was clearly done at this point...

But Grey just wanted to keep on holding her...I'm so happy with how good he is with her.

Happy Trails to you this Wednesday Morninn'

Finding the special moments in the craziness

Nate and I were both pretty sure we were going to loose our minds yesterday morning.  It started bright and early with Grey getting up before 6am while a big storm was going on.  Sailor did not have the best night.  She just could not get settled which continued on through the day.

Here she is already telling me - no more pictures mama

After we were all awake we put Grey in his undies.  After that I asked Nate to back up my pictures onto our hard drive.  So downstairs he went and Grey of course followed. So okay Grey will just play while Nate works on the computer.  (Not so much)

He did very good until he ran up the stairs telling me he had to go pee.  I looked and he had already gone pee and POOP!  GROSS!  So into the shower he went and Nate cleaned up the mess.

Ok so pictures are in the process of being "backed-up"  -now what on this rainy Sunday?

He loves to just look at her.  So sweet.

After all the potty mess was cleaned up it was time to check Nate's tomato plants after the storm.  Well of course Nate could not go outside without Grey so the two of them went and about 10 min later Nate is bringing Grey in crying because he wanted to climb on the ladder - and Nate said NO and it brought on a tantrum.

So Grey is crying and crabby and I finally remember that he hasn't eaten much and who is not crabby when they are hungry.  So I give Grey some fresh ham and turkey and some watermelon and he seems a little better.  Ok so I'm still nursing Sailor because as I said she just could not get settled and everytime I went to put her down she would start crying.  Nate and I just kept passing eachother looking exhausted.  ha!

After that we turned on some Toy Story 2 for Grey and he wanted to play his guitar.  Well that was fine until he got mad about something (don't even remember what it was) and threw his guitar - yep...so Nate put him in a time out in his crib which Grey DISLIKES very much and guess what happened next....Grey peed in his crib.  So strip his bed sheet get him cleaned up again, put down crying baby, and go start the load of laundry.  Fun Fun on this rainy day.

but I did capture some sweet moments over the weekend.

Ok so Sailor still can't get settled and we need to find something for Grey.  So, I made a Target list for Nate and him.  Grey quickly asked if he could get a slushy and all Nate could do was laugh because of how exhausted he already was and it was only NOON.  So the two of them head out while I try to figure out Sailor.  She might have had a little gas I'm thinking.  Because there were some explosions in her diaper after a while and she was kind of burpy.

So Nate and Grey return with all the items I needed from Target and Grey has a blue tongue -Target mission complete with slushy and all.
Nap time it is - I put Grey in his crib and Nate heads for a nap also.  I'm still trying the "bounce and pat" if you will with Sailor.  It's probably about 3:00 by now and my newborn has not really slept.

So about an hour and a half later we have a lil' boy yelling from his room that he's ready to get up.  Whaaa???

So get grey up and Nate too;)
Nate took Grey outside to run around for a bit while Sailor and I both fell asleep.

We head to Sunday night dinner and guess who sleeps the whole time?

This little Miss:)

However all these pictures were taken over the weekend of my sweet little babes and good thing so I can see how sweet they really can be in between all the craziness-ha!

Dog "Tales"

Lasalle Library puts on this dog tales for kids.  We decided to check it out because we thought Grey would really enjoy it and it gave us time to just spend with Grey.  He has been being such a good big brother, but it was nice for him to have mommy and daddy all to himself for a little bit.
(Grey's special bookbark that he got for reading to Elli)

What it is....ok so this older woman brings in her trained type sheep dog that was rescued from a shelter.  She sits while kids read to her and her name is Elli.  She does not bark because she has been trained to do so.  There was a nice small group of children there and Grey did really good even though in between reading he asked if he could leave to get some chicken nuggets...ha!

Nate and Grey checkin' out the scene

We started in here...

and then Grey sat very nicely at a table with his Thomas coloring sheet

I grabbed a puppet book

and Grey and I did some counting

We also read Miss Wishy Washy

Then came Elli and all the kids had to let her sniff them and then they could pet her.

Grey was one of the last kids to read to Elli

So he sat very nicely with his dinosaur book.

Then it was Nate and Grey's turn to read to everyone.

Grey did a very good job of showing his audience the pictures.

Dog Tales ended with Elli showing us some of her tricks and Grey got a coupon to Culver's for an ice cream cone along with his special bookmark.  Of course the minute we left he was asking if he could go get that ice cream cone.  We decided to save it for another night and he was okay with that.

I think we will def. go back and try this again.

And today we were off to Peru summer camp for Grey.  It was a miracle that I had both of my kids bathed, fed, and ready by 9am.  ME - not so much but that's the way it is for the moment.

My friend Camron is actually in charge of it for the week and it's really cute.  It's circle time, book time, duck duck goose time, then the kids break out to different centers.

Grey started with decorating his race car...

finished product - let's just say he liked the glitter.

And while her big brother was having fun with all his "projects" Sailor was perfectly content in her carseat.

Sweet Baby Sailor

Well the photo shoot started like this...

But then my lil' missy mellowed out and it turned out pretty sweet just like she is.

2 1/2 weeks old.....and growing everyday...

We did go in and out of pouting but for the most part Sailor did good!

She's still a relaxed baby.

And right now our night schedule consists of going down between 8pm and 9pm then get up at 1:00 and 4am and then again at 6:30 or 7.

She is sure a good lil' eater too.

We could just eat her up...

and I can't forget her sweet lil' tootsies...

And in other news, we gave Sailor her first "real" bath last week.  She finally lost her umbilical cord stump, so instead of sponge baths she was able to try the real thing.

Grey hopped in too and Sailor did pretty good.
