It's the little moments....

that I love with my little man.  It's the time when he doesn't know I'm watching him but could just stare for hours in awe of him.  I just never knew I could LOVE somebody this much.  He's the coolest little dude and all I ever think of him is  -he is so incredibly awesome!  He just makes life soooooooo much better......so much more to live for because of him......this special little guy that I get to wake up to every morning..........I get to take care of in every possible way.......God is good!

And yet I just can't believe how fast he's growing.  My parents magazine must have gotten to me today-lol!  There was an article about all the transitions your toddler will go through from ages 2-4, such as "ditching" the "binkie" (yeah right-hah!)-I just can't see this in our near future.  (according to mag- you have until 3 years of age)  Climbing out of the crib (just typing that makes me cringe).  I really hope Grey stays in his crib until he's ready to go to kindergarten.  lol!  Potty training...the only thing Greyson is telling me now as of 21 months of life - is boo boo butt mommy when he has poop.  We have him paranoid that he will get a boo boo butt with poop, so it's his job to tell us.  He's definitely getting closer though and more curious about it......instead for now he flushes the toilet over and over again.  Just for 2's and Preschool was another transition.  It's just a lot to take in - I mean my baby is just a "baby" - i should not even be thinking about this stuff......but I have to because some of it is upon me :(((  Of course I want my little boy to have wings....BIG wings......it just makes me sad sometimes to think about all of it.

It's the little moments that I'll never forget.......like soft kisses

and walks to the lake on summer evenings just as the sun is about to set

and hugs.....you can never get enough hugs!

Oh I Love You Greyson Lee!

I Scream.

You scream.
We all scream for ice cream.
In the front yard.
In our diaper.
After throwing a tantrum.

You see a special little man that's extremely close to my heart is Mr. Independent these days.  So, it was a night that mommy said was a night for an ice cream break, however mommy thinks that every night should be an ice cream kinda night.  Well, when you add in a tired baby with a short nap that day, the heat, wanting to eat his ice cream outiside, in a cone, all by himself, there are bound to be some setbacks.  Let's start from the beginning.  So, we all get in the car and we are happy, smiling, and "dreaming" of our ice cream.  Well, we get there and I order Grey a baby twist cone (my bad in 95 degree heat) and the minute the lady handed it to me Grey wanted to hold it all by myself, but he was NOT licking it, he was just holding it so it was melting all over the place.  So, I tell Nate to take the cone from him while I go ask for a bowl to put it in.  Let me tell you, you would have thought I cut Greyson's arm off.....starts screaming, throws himself to the ground, everyone is staring at us.  So, what do we do ........make a mad DASH and get the heck out of there...Grey cried the whole way home.  Then once we calmed him down  - he was given his bowl and literally "drank" his ice cream......There was no need for a spoon by this time...So, we sat out on our front steps like any parents would do and watched with enjoyment as our little boy ate up all his ice cream and made a complete mess!

Not too many people could pull this off!

Who could resist this!?  I mean everyone that drove by waved to Greyson-lol!

I was still enjoying my ice cream as well and loved my view of the little stinker running in the front yard full of ice cream running down his belly!

Mr. Serious at the time...

Something made me laugh but I can't remember what it was...

Messy Messy yummy ice cream on a hot summer night.

Heart to heart...

After the ice cream was all gone....you can only imagine what we did next!?  TUBBY TIME!

The Magic House

So, we decided to go to The Magic House...why not?!  It was so awesome.  I had fun myself so I can't imagine what the kiddos thought!  I have been to the Children's Museum in Bloomington and while I thought that was great, obviously it doesn't even come close to The Magic House.  There is just sooooooooooooooooooooooooo much to do in St. Louis especially with kids.  We already have things in mind for our next trip down there.  That's one good thing, we visit often so we always try something new.  Talk about stimulation!  Our kiddos didn't even know where to look.  It was just exhibit after exhibit and I'm talkin' hands on exhibits for EVERY AGE!  My personal fav was the grocery store (hah) - I can always have fun with a REAL cash register...

The first exhibit was a whole thing on bubbles.....this is livy in a Giant bubble

Nate actually came down Tuesday night to pick Grey, Livy, and I up and we came home the next day....grammy Ann stayed until Friday.  So, daddy got to experience the fun too...

Jayne had a ball as well and was perfectly content with her daddy holding her through the museum.

He was on a mission the whole time.

First he was a truck driver.

Then he was a mechanic.

Then he was a fisherman.

Nate was helpin' livy catch just the right one.

Then it was the awesome grocery store.

Really, if a kid could not have fun here there is something wrong...

Livy was checking people out....

See, everything was the "real" deal....real cash register, real scanner, and real ATM thing

The whole gang (-grammy Ann and auntie Georgia)

Checking her cash register drawer...

and waiting on customers

Then we found a place for Jayne and it was definitely the "mamarazzi" when I got in there with her

Everywhere she turned there I was with the camera-lol!

They had mirrors everywhere for the "under 1" year olds.  She loved looking at herself. ( see me again in the mirror)

yep that's still me in the mirror behind Jayne-(in all of these)

Then it was onto the water exhibit...

The sand exhibit.

Grey was filling up at the pump.

Then it was the construction exhibit.  (they had everything you could think of)  We took pics on the Caterpillar tractor for Papa Mike!

How's this for a tractor crew?

"some" cute little construction girl I know

Jayne was just happy chewing on her shoe....

and our last stop before lunch was the "white house"

This is who's taking over the oval office for the moment.

here's another crew for you...

Grammy Ann was helping Livy say the pledge of allegiance...

Nate found the "Kennedy" rocker so I had to take a pic

order in the court...

maybe she'll be your judge someday!

Well there you have it folks St. Louis was a complete success and we always have a blast when we go there.  We visited with family, stimulated the kiddos everyday, had scrumptious home cooked meals, and warm beds to sleep in........it was a great little trip!
