Fall and ALL things random...

Along with Fall comes Homecoming and along with that comes the parade and let's face it...parades make kids happy (for the most part)....so we grabbed our halloween bags and off we went...

I hurried home after school...and picked up my crew...

The loud noises scared sister a little...so she stayed close to daddy.

Who gets a stuffed animal thrown to them at a parade???  Well, Sailor does I guess ;-)  It's not what ya know it's who ya know...

they waved and they waved and they waved...hoping for some good candy...and let me tell you those little smiles worked wonders...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

My dear friend and cousin was in town a few weeks back...she lives in Arizona.....so we got to visit with them and her little guy Gio.....we ordered food and the kids ran around....it was so nice to catch up...

Gio is sooooo adorable...he's not quite 2 yet...Sailor loved having someone 'littler' than her around...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These were some moments I caught over our weekend...we took the kids to a fall festival on Sunday....

My sweet boy or should I say my sweet ninja?  Either one works right now.
she's already dancin' around poles (totally kidding)

Nate made me take Sailor's ring off last night.  We have not taken it off since I put it on her which who knows how long ago that was...it was looking a little tight around those chubby fingers....a little soap and it came right off....now I must find her another one that fits ;-)

they went on a muscle 'kick' for some reason...
Sailor said - "Mama yook...I showin' you my muscles!"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And we had some fun in the kitchen today....we made some hallween jello jigglers...the kids enjoyed it...

it's their 'after' dinner treat tonight...

Happy Monday Friends!

My Little Firecrackers...

First off, it's been a really long day here.  Our Uncle Dick passed away on Saturday and today was the service for him.  We brought the kids as well and they were SO GOOD.  Many tears were shed, but it was a beautiful service and tribute to him.  He will forever be in our hearts.

So, even though I have a heavy heart today and really wasn't in the 4th of July spirit, I did dress my kids up tonight and took some pictures of them before we went to see some fireworks.

I give you - 'my little firecrackers' ;)
Here they are showing you sparklers that aren't lit yet;)

Tootie isn't scared at all...

We had lots of sparklers left over from Sister's birthday party, so we are good to go for tomorrow:)

And there she goes again...dancin' in some boots;)

I hope all of you have a safe and fun holiday weekend!

Happy Father's Day!

I'm so grateful that my babies have such a wonderful and AMAZING daddy!  They are so lucky and someday they will know this.

Nate and I have both been blessed with wonderful dads and I have one amazing grandpa as well!

Nate and the kids in Hawaii (2013)

I love my family so much!  And this guy is the center of our universe!

And Happy Father's day to my own dad!  I love you!

Enjoying...

I thought it might be a good idea to start the first day of May with a little 'enjoying'...But, first off Happy May Day to you!  I took the morning off so Sailie and I joined Grey in preschool and made a May day basket with him.  As soon as we got home he ran next door to put it on our neighbor's door...he rang the door bell and quickly ran away......it was sweet.....

And when we got home we also had a few surprise 'knocks' of our own...the first one was a little basket with suckers in it (which Sailor quickly ripped into two at once;) and the second time it was one sweet little flower with a little note titled "for Greyson and Sailor"......gotta LOVE a neighborhood FULL of kids...
 **************************************************************
Enjoying...
 baby feet...with pretty pink toes...
i painted her toes for the very first time...

Nothing like a big underdog from daddy...

He loves the game of tag...the thrill of the chase...
she loves the slide except her shoes 'stick' sometimes... she also got a tiny little goose egg on her forehead....couldn't even tell you what she did...

pit stop at the water fountain...

This mama knows how to rock a swing...

****************************************
We did a little 'weekending' at the lake...we packed a little cooler, picked up some subway, and of course Nate stopped for some bait before heading out...

Fishing was all good until sister decided to swipe the pole from her brother and run with it...she took the whole line with her...

I cannot believe the sock and shoe drama I have most days with my 'almost' 2 year old...believe me i know by now to pick my battles but geez.....i think i've got my hands FULL with this one...she picked her princess socks and these shoes - there was NO talking her out of it...

I'm thankful that we've been able to get outside this much...feels good.

We were trying to find the 'perfect' spot to eat our lunch...

Happy Wednesday!
