Work out...what...huh???

Come on mom don't you know I like to join in on all that you do!

Well I like to switch back and forth on going to the Y for my workouts and working out from home. This was yesterday when I was trying to work out. This really does go on and I can usually take it for 10 - 15 minutes. Trust me it's a really good workout when trying to hold this type of weight! I just can't do it for that long. lol!

Anyway I try to put Grey in his bouncy seat while I work out sometimes but anybody with kids or with an "almost" 10 month old knows that only lasts for about 5-10 minutes if I'm lucky and then he is whining to get out of there. Grey is very fascinated with our "awesome" elliptical machine and tries climbing on it all the time. So I have tried picking him up a couple times and working out while holding him just for fun and he thinks it is hilarious. I will have to video tape this some time because he really does find it amusing...

The last of the Kennedy men...

And a part of history died on Tuesday, August 25th. The last of the Kennedy brothers (dad's favorite historical family) passed. The Lion of the Senate... Teddy Kennedy. No doubt a controversial figure in American politics with his own share of demons, but nonetheless a fighter for the little guy. My dad says he admires the Kennedy family largely because of their devotion to public service and because they are completely imperfect... Much like the majority of American families. They have had their share of tragedies with Joe, Kathleen, Jack and Bobby, as well as JFK Jr. and Michael. They also have had their share of family dissapointment, with Teddy at Martha's Viniard, Bobby Jr. with drug possession, David and his overdose, William and his accusal, and Patrick with his abuse problems. Nonetheless they are FAMILY and they stuck together through all the difficulties. That is why they are such an important symbol for America.
So once again there is NO ONE FAMILY that is perfect (NOTHING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IS PERFECT)...But the important thing is that you stick together through thick and thin.

It's a girl thing?!?!?

We got to grammy's house early yesterday morning. I was feeding Grey his morning yogurt and this is the bib grammy had. lol!
Isn't he pretty in his pink bib?!?!?

Maybe grammy needs some new bibs. What do you think?

I tell you what I am just throwing all of these ladies "off" around here! That's what you get when you throw a BOY into the mix.

Let's start with the basics for boys...hmmm where do we start....how about...
  • dirt bikes
  • mud
  • motorcycles
  • trucks
  • cars
  • fishin'
  • star wars of course
  • da' bears for football season (you know I can do 'touchdown' now better referred to as 'so big')
  • and let's end with a blue bib

Okay I think that's a good start for now...

Lazy days of summer...

Well all the kiddos are back in school and everyone is back at em'. Well, almost everyone, but Grey is still enjoyin' his summer! You really do have to appreciate childhood, don't you? We put him in his swing yesterday afternoon and he was just as content as could be. He was enjoying the beautiful weather and just all eyes as to what was going on around him...

Sometimes don't you just wonder what they are thinking? I just look into those eyes and wonder what the world looks like to him...Childhood is truly a beautiful thing...and the innocence just truly melts my heart...

And he's off...

The Boat Club!

It was a typical Saturday night. We had gone to church then we came home and were debating on what to do. So, Nate decided to cut our grass while Grey took a little cat nap. Put him down at 5 and he was up at 5:30 so it was kinda pointless but oh well. Nate had a migraine earlier so he was kinda wiped, but we needed to eat dinner. So we opted for the Boat Club. We really like it down there because it is so layed back and just plain relaxing. Grey seems to like it too. We went down about 6:30 and who shows up but my parents and Livy Lou and the Ernats. This was not planned by us anyways. But I guess our parents had planned on going out. So, anyway we all ended up chillin' at the Boat club. And of course I do bring my camera everywhere we go so here are the pics of Greyson's big Saturday night...

Grey had ketchup for the first time with his fries...he really liked it...

Come on keep em' comin' dad...

We checked out all the boats...

Livy saw lots of spiders crawling all over those boats...

Cheese....they were makin' us laugh

We even went swingin' on the swings of course

Give me kisses Grey!

Look how they've grown...

Both of them...really!!!

Back in May I planted my flowers just like I always do! Now, I am definitely not a gardener by any means. My mom aka granny Ann on the other hand absolutely loves loves loves her flowers. It is definitely one of her passions. But, me, not so much. I have a front flat that I have to fill every year but other than that I don't do much else. However, I do like to play around with it every year. Every year that we have lived at our house I plant something different. I like to switch it up and every time I plant something it does really take off like crazy...I mean crazy. So this year I planted some sweet potato plant for accents and such because my mom always plants them and I love how they look.
I must also give credit to Greyson because throughout the summer the two of us would water my flowers together and say good morning to them. Granny Ann says it's good to talk to your flowers!!! So we would tell them good morning, water them, occasionally with miracle grow and then we'd go about our day. Here are some pics of what they looked like in May when I planted them and what Grey looked like in May. Funny to compare and see what has come a lonnnnnggggg way! lol!
This was back in May...

We had Grey in the pack-n-play so he could watch us....

Here they are now....see they took off like crazy...

And here's Grey now....helping of course with the water can...Daddy happened to have a slight migraine yesterday so Grey and I watered the flowers and played outside a bit while daddy napped...

Glad to see they are both THRIVING like CRAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZY!
*Sidenote*I would just like to add that we went to church yesterday (4:00) and Grey made it through. It was only 45 min. long and it worked for him. We may have finally found a time for Church that we can go and STAY the whole time for a change. We go on Sunday mornings and it just doesn't work for Grey!

Game Time

in the tub with daddy. However, we may have started a bad thing.

So again last night..(doing our nightly routine) Grey was in the tub and Nate just kinda happened to start this game with him. He would take the wash cloth and try to throw it so it landed on Grey's head. Well Grey got a big kick out of it but then he started flinging a totally drenched washcloth around in the tub and water kept splattering everywhere!!! He kept flinging it out of the tub for Nate to pick up. I hope he doesn't think to do this everytime he is in the tub now!

And it turned into one of those photo shoots where you know you just keep clicking to get every action in there...Well here it is in a "photo" type nutshell???

Alright I'm really excited Dad...come on...throw it...

Arggghhhh....trying to reach for the washcloth

Come on let's see what you got...I'm ready for it now...

Okay maybe I will just suck on it...

Daddy threw it right on my head...

Back in the mouth...

Back on the face...

Half way on his head...(see this is what kept going on back and forth)

Taking it off to throw it back...or I should say fling it

waiting for it...

Watching daddy and getting really excited-lol!

Here it comes...wow that must be some magic washcloth-huh Grey?!?!?

Come on buddy!

Give me whatcha got!

Got it! Game over...
