Lovin' the Beach Life

Greyson has been LOVING the beach! He's been an angel so far! Sorry for the picture...i took it with my phone....It's been a little tricky keeping his hat on him but we've managed....and Aunt Amy won't like this picture with the binkie in his mouth, but this was right before we took him in for a nap. Today we are off to see the Phillies training game.....vacations always go way too fast!

We made it!!

Well we made it to Florida safely! Grey did great on his first plane ride! He was a stinker the first hour and slept on me the second hour! It was super windy yesterday but grey still got to feel the sand on his feet for the first time and he loved it! Although he did get a little wet and then started to cry.....I think it was just really cold! Needless to say we will not be going in the ocean but we knew that already! So now I am laying here at 1am and can't sleep because my dad told me to look for snakes and big rats down here...lol but papa Mike did tell me to check under beds in closets and drawers....so typical of my dad....so thnx a lot dad!!! Lol sort of!!!! On another note I am currently sitting in white noise listening to some light snoring from my two boys...one more than the other .....can u guess which one? I'm also enjoying this speedy AT&T wi-fi hook up here;). Any way it is supposed to be 72 today and NOT so much wind so let's hope so....we want to hit up the beach today and feel that white sand again!!!

Sarah's Shower

Yesterday my mom and dad gave their god child Sarah a bridal shower and it was sooooo nice!!! Sarah is my dad's sister Melanie's daughter! My mom had the house looking so springy and clean and she had FRESH flowers everywhere! She knows how to throw a party let me tell ya! She had a beautiful brunch buffet also! And to add to the girly shower we decided to throw Grey into the mix of things. He was all pimped out in his Easter outfit which just made it a whole lot better!

And THEN this had to happen............Grey was running full speed in the family room and hit his forehead right onto my parent's step going into their family room. It was not pretty....I thought I was going to have to go to the ER.....Luckily I did not.....it is black and blue though....does it ever fail....right before vacation....:(

ChiTown

We started our Friday off right. We left at about 10am for Chicago and made really good time. For those of you who don't know we planned a night away to see Uncle Just off! He leaves today for Hawaii for his medical rotation. He will be back in about 6 weeks.

As soon as we got to the city we picked up Just and headed to whole foods. Deb and Dave had never been there and we wanted them to see it. Auntie Mims really didn't get the excitement all over my face when we walked into "that" grocery store. lol!

But she managed to have fun as always......she tried to make her own peanut butter but didn't like that taste...


then Deb made a trail mix for all of us to munch on....it was pretty good....



I, of course, had to get myself cereal! I think I could live off cereal....especially organic raisin bran...

While we shopped in Whole Foods the guys just went to the bar.....Yes, this whole foods has a bar in it so they were more than happy to do some beer tasting....Needless to say, we did not hear from them the WHOLE time we shopped!




We were finally done with our little excursion....so we rounded up the boys at the bar

I know, I'm a total nerd in this one holding up my Whole Foods bag...lol!


Friday night Uncle Just took us to Club Lucky for some fine Italian cuisine and mighty fine it was.....



Then it was time to hang out at Just's place for a bit....Grey loves the drum set they have...

Before we picked up Uncle Just we stopped at Cabela's and Papa Davey bought Grey this remote control skunk. It was his entertainment for the night! It lifted its tail and everything...

We stayed at the Hilton in Chicago and they had an area of Kennedy posters and different pictures. If Nate told me once he told me a MILLION times that he wanted me to get some pics of him in front of them. The big History Buff that he is!

He was so happy walking that when we picked him up for a family pic he had a mind snap but we still captured that too!
