We took the kids for a walk down to the canal but unfortunately it was a short one because we were being attacked by mosquitoes...and BIG ones I might add...Next time I need to remember the bug spray!

Sailor's like - ok...it's not that great now pick me back up...'

The poor girl might have been suffering from a bad hair day...

I laugh because I dressed him from the knees UP...Nate did the rest...We were throwing rocks into the water...

Sister opted out of the rock throwing to do a little people watching and some waving...

Nonetheless (aside from the mosquitoes) it made for an interesting walk...I mean we don't always get to see these everyday...

After our walk we stopped by my grandma and grandpa's house...my grandpa has been asking me to take some pics of the kids in front of his bright purple clematis...

 It was a little tricky to get it just the way grandpa wanted it but we did our best...

and yes Grey and Livy were still there -ha!  it seems like I ended with ALL pics of Sailor but the other two were too busy running around...




So in between walks to the canal and naps and park days you would have found us at the pool this week..the past few days have been HOTTT......so we load up on the sunscreen, throw on our floaties and we're good to go...

and SO sad but true - the past three days after loading ALL the bags and baby stuff - I have arrived at my destination without my camera...(I was LOST without it!)  I will be better next week.

Out with a Splash!

It's summer (not for long) but technically it's summer for a bit longer according to the calendar, it's hotttt, it's a Saturday evening and I've got a little guy to entertain.

Scenario on my hands:  Nate is gone for a beer at 4:00 which is totally cool.  I told him to go.

Greyson just woke up from his nap.

Sailor is still sleeping.

Greyson gets up and asks for some juice and in a matter of minutes he's got all his toys scattered across the room.  Me aka as mom is just not feelin' it for the moment.  So, I say let's go swimming Grey and I must say this was a very good way to get him to clean up his mess, which we have been working on.  If Grey makes a mess he has to remember to clean it up.  He cleans up and puts his toys away.  I pack his swim bag and load both kids into the car...pick up Livy...and we are on our way to my parents neighbors house....score....we are all out of the house and ready for some well needed swim time.  I call Nate on the way to tell him where we are going and he says he will meet us there after bar time.  Sounds good to me.  Just livin' the dream I tell ya! ha!

He's all business with his swimming.  It's amazing how good he is doing though.  I'm so proud of him.  He pumps his arms in the water, kicks his legs, holds his breath, and goes off the board without batting an eye.

Welcome Home Miss Alivia

Let the reuniting begin!

It was pretty special...it could have been on a hallmark card...

Livy has been gone for six whole weeks in Nevada with her dad.  So it was a fabulous homecoming for her and Grey.  I mean after all they are best buds.

We celebrated with balloons.

and they were a hit literally.  The little things in life make big statements.

Livy also got to meet Sailor for the first time.

and real

and pure

and so much fun to be back together once again.
