My kids Today...

We've had some nasty 'sick' bugs around here, but I think we are on the mend.  There seems to be so many people sick right now and not to mention I'm around a million germs a day.  And with it being Grey's 1st year of preschool I'm sure he's bound to get a few bugs as well.

Grey was sick with a fever, then Nate got it, and then Sailor got it.  Thankfully, they were quick bugs.  I am just praying that I don't get it.  I have been 'lysoling' like there's no tomorrow.

I was missing my camera, so I pulled it out this morning.  Here are my two babes fresh out of the tub.  One ready for school, the other ready for grammy Ann:)

We are looking forward to Saturday as we are heading to St. Louis for a fun weekend!

Happy Wednesday!

We've been enjoying...

all the little things that winter has to offer.  Cold weather doesn't keep us from hitting the park or from bundling up and getting some fresh air.  It's just what we do around here.

we were all excited over a little snow 'dusting'...and of course we bring baby doll with us...

somehow sister also brought along the calculator - no idea?!
 maybe no slide today?

our new boots are doing their job...

Most of the winter we keep our 'hockey' bag and ice skates in the 'mud' room by the door...easy access...because most times it's spur of the moment...such as -"grey wanna go ice skating?"  squealing with excitement Grey answers - "yes mommy or yes daddy let's go right now!!!!!!!!!!"
How do you like Sister's get-up?  That's another thing that seems to be spur of the moment on outings like these...I'm happy to report that she has a new purple snowsuit for this winter...you know sister is always styling...

Dee Dee wanted to see the action too...

It's a bit of a struggle to get Grey into his snowpants (he doesn't like how they "feel") but once he's out there - you can't get him to leave...

Sailor is loving her little board books right now...her favorite is Say Say Oh playmate...she loves pointing to all the little kids...

I tell Sailor everyday - "you are such a Good Mama!"  She loves taking her babies for walks...

and she feeds them constantly...it's so funny how she stuffs that bottle in the mouth...

and she's always giving them kisses...(I love this picture...)   Have I told you lately;) how much I adore this little girl?!!

and the "grocery store" is part of her daily routine;)

Sailor and I, my mom, Gina, Margie (Gina's mom) and Giuliana also enjoyed a bridal expo...My brother and Gina and our moms are in the process of planning their wedding... it was a fun girls day.....but later Nate, Grey, and Uncle Alex came for a drink and to watch the games that were on...

look how bright eyed Giuliana is...

would you believe it if I told you Sailie chugged a whole kitty cocktail in a matter of minutes?! ;)

Winter is upon us and we are enjoying it...

Happy Friday!

and my favorite picture from Sailor's first birthday party.

AUGUST
Nate and I decided that we were going to hold off on building a house (it became complicated with the lot and zoning and tying into the city and we didn't want to miss out on the low interest rates) and instead bought a house.  So we packed up our whole home and moved in with my parents for 2 weeks until we closed on our new house.  Luckily we didn't even have to buy a 'for sale' sign for ours.  It sold that fast (thank goodness) but August was such a CRAZY month.  On top of buying a new house, packing up our old one, I went back to work teaching and a NEW grade!  Livy returned from Nevada and we had a party for her.  We had some fun visiting our friend Macklin's new pony, Grey visited the dentist for the very first time, and also started Pre-school.  Livy started cheering so we made it to a couple of her games. (CRAZY month FOR SURE')

SEPTEMBER -
Little by little we started to get settled into our new house, Nate bought a John Deere for our big yard, Sailor started sporting pig tails, we celebrated my 31st with a little party at our house, Nate and I enjoyed a couple date nights:), all the RIVA'S came home for a family RIVA wedding, LOTS of park days, we had a baby shower for Gina, went fishing with daddy, spent time at the sandy beach at daddy's work, had some bon fires at our new home and yes we made s'mores.  Adam, Georgia, and Jayne came into town.  School started good for both Grey and I.

OCTOBER-I did Alex and Gina's maternity pictures, enjoyed a family wedding with the Ernat's, took the kids to the Burgoo, took lots of fall pictures of my kids and some other families, finished Grey's bedroom in Star Wars, took the kids to the halloween parade, read lots of books, went trick or treating in our new neighborhood while my parents sat at our new house and handed out candy, carved pumpkins, went to the pumpkin patch, Grey went on his first field trip with daddy to the pumpkin patch with his class, and I had a red power ranger and a proud little peacock for October:)
