Almost forgot...we went to St.Louis;)

It's been about three weeks or so but the whole family went to St. Louis to see my brother.  Trust me I would not forget visiting with family and enjoying my children in almost 70 degree weather in the middle of winter.  We had a lot of fun.

Funny conversations, cousins running from one end of the house to the other, dance parties in the kitchen, girl time, home cooked meals, some fun at the hotel pool, a new puppy.......the list goes on and on.....

Jayne is a wizard of oz lovin' type of kid...She would sit and listen to Georgia read it to her all day long if she could...

afternoon snooze...

 boys will be boys...

playing with mirrors i guess and yes with my shades on....
(sidenote...Adam and Georgia just bought a house that they've been working really hard on....they knocked down walls....remodeled a kitchen...all new flooring...however, the pink/peach bathrooms will probably be next;)  I say it gives it some character for now...

a little lunch break between play...

back to the hotel to swim...

Sailor wanted nothing to do with swimming...so she sat and had just as much fun watching the other kids...

this is a little bit of that dance party we had....i believe we rocked out to 'Gangnam Style' - they had the video up on the laptop copying the moves - it was hilarious....

And Aunt Amy also surprised Livy with a puppy...this was part of her Christmas present but they were not able to pick it up until now....it was also close to where Adam and Georgia live so it worked out pretty good....the kids were in love...

Livy named her 'Chanel'....i love it....and yes that's Chanel as in  the ultimate luxury brand for fashion accessories...;)  Although whenever I see her I go as far as to call her "chanel gucci prada" haha!

My mom still does my hair every once in a while:)

After a nice big healthy breakfast at the hotel we called it a weekend...
 Always fun in St. Louis...

Sailor says PEACE OUT!

Our Valentine's Day.

Just the four of us at home together.
We love getting mail here.  So, when I got home from school the kids were excited because they both had mail from their grandma and grandpa.
and a little bit of 'walkin' around money' to put in their piggy banks...

I do not like getting my kids anything BIG for Valentine's Day.  However, this year we did get Grey a Leap Pad 2 only because we are going on vacation to Hawaii at the end of March to see Nate's brother, so he's gonna need something for the plane and this is it!  Nate and I went back and forth on different tablets and such but in the end we decided this would be perfect for Grey.  Needless to say, he was very excited about it!

When we all got settled Thursday evening we went through Grey's valentines from school...  And I must give credit where it is due...shout out to my wonderful husband....who went to Grey's valentine party at school WITH sailor...he truly is such a WONDERFUL/HANDS ON dad...he walked right into school with the diaper bag over his shoulder carrying Sailor ready to participate in some preschool fun:).....he had me laughing because he says every time he goes into Grey's classroom, Sailor poops...and this day was NO different...
there's always fun to be had with play-doh...Grey says - "mommy I like the smell of this stuff!"

Grey and Sailie also had special visits from ALL their grandparents with little surprises such as socks and swedish fish - (one of our favorites...) and a few new ninja turtle movies...
oh and flash lights for each of them...

I cooked us a steak dinner which everyone chowed down...My kids LOVE steak...

After dinner, we got into our jammies and caught up on American idol;)
Perfect day with my lovies...

Stay at home night...

That's what Greyson calls it..."mommy, is tonight a stay at home night?"  And as a matter of fact last night was a stay at home kind of night.  I also declared it a 'no tv' night....well, at least for a while it was.

So, we pulled out books after supper....Grey read some Valentine books to Sailor...(he makes up the words as he goes:)
Then we pulled out 'Mrs'. Potato Head...

they were cracking eachother up for the longest time...

this girl is something else...i'm telling you...

then we practiced some writing...

after all that was done Sailie went to bed and Grey watched a little TV...

Happy Tuesday!
