My Christmas Angels

I'm so thankful for my children.

This was Christmas Day at my mom's house...

This dress was a gift from Ellary.  Sailor looked like a little angel.  I made her bow and found her shoes at Payless.  I was running around Sunday night looking for gold shoes.  Nothing like waiting until the last minute.

Our New Pillars

I've mentioned here and there about our project we have going in the front of our new house.

We decided to add pillars to our porch.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way it turned out.  It is not totally done yet, but here are some before and after pictures.

I love the way the stone/slate looks...

I know this picture is from September but just to show you what our porch looked like before....

when we bought it...

we took out the spindles and just had the skinny white poles...

This is what we have now...it gives it a whole new look...the slate is on the bottom and then cedar on top...not sure yet what/if I'm going to do anything with the cedar - paint/stain/color etc...?  what do you think?

we also have a new mailbox with the matching slate.... we just had a plastic one before...(I don't have a pic of that)...

I like the 'woodsy' yet modern look it gives our house...

and we decided to line the whole bottom/front of our house in the slate/stone...a little bit more money but totally worth it...

It's not done yet, but almost...

Back to Christmasy Things...

I can't believe it is Christmas!  December always flies right on by.  We've been very busy around here enjoying every single bit of it though.

CUE Christmasy Things:

Should we start with a Christmas Moose perhaps?!

We enjoyed another breakfast with Santa...

my family was all snuggled together...melt me heart...

Grey was picked to help in the Magic Show...he did such a good job...

I have to tell you...Sister had so many holiday dresses this year and I didn't spend a dime...This little gold number was all the way back from Mary.... we LOVE 'hand-me-downs' here...
and this one was a Goodwill find that Grammy Ann stumbled upon...it was $2 and brand new...can't beat it!

we waited in line to see the LIVE reindeer...

A little Rudolph for Grey and LIvy...
 but NOT for Sailor...

We had a Christmas gathering at our house with our families and we were so excited to have Uncle Just home...I made a hot cocoa 'bar' and some homeade lasagna that turned out pretty good if I do say so myself...
I'm kind of addicted to buying christmas mugs...

Our chocolate covered marshmallows were a hit...not to mention they made the perfect garnish;)

Grammy and Papa are always in heaven when they have their grandbabies around...

Boys will be boys...they were watching 'Christmas Vacation'...a MUST this time of year...

Making a Gingerbread house...

And sister is so motherly these days...she loves her baby dolls and Gi-Gi too;)

The 'hostess' was shot by the end of the night -haha!  Entertaining is a lot of work- ha!

Many blessings to you today and always!
Merry Christmas!

Enjoying Christmasy Things...

My house is quiet right now.  The kids are napping and to be honest I didn't think it would be that easy to get Grey down today but he did:)  I have my house all lit up and am truly enjoying every bit of it.  I went to the Y this morning because I've been having way too many Christmas goodies;)  My grandma Joyce's cookies are just TOO GOOD to avoid.  So every time I pass by the plate on my counter I grab one...

We've been spending our time with family, friends and doing Christmasy things....

But for now I'm wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas!!!!

Did some 'pinteresting'....

I pinned these on pinterest and wanted to try them...Hopefully I will be putting them to good use tonight with my 'hot cocoa bar' that I'm having....

while the girls did the marshmallows, sister did this all over Dee Dee's fridge...good thing it's erasable...

the one in the middle didn't make the cut, so I ate that one;)

they are supposed to look something like this...
stay posted on how the hot cocoa bar turns out;)

Happy Friday!

Some Hockey for the Holidays

Woody must have known we were taking Grey and Sailor to a hockey game Tuesday night because in the morning we found him in a tower of legos and under Grey's hockey helmet...

This had Nate's name written all over it...He wanted to take Grey to a hockey game...this is Grey's 2nd game he's been to and he REALLY enjoys it!  He has been so excited for the past week...since we told him we were going...the whole Ernat clan went...when we walked in, the guy collecting our tickets gave Grey a hockey puck - it pretty much made his night - he slept with it under his pillow...

I kept playing with the settings on my camera...indoor lights really throw me for a loop;)  that's why all these photos look the way they do...

Sailor took it ALL in...but luckily it was NOT crowded at all so sister could run 'free' down our aisle...

One good thing about hockey games is that there's always entertainment going on...whether a fight, music, dancing, throwing hockey pucks, the blimp,  seeing yourself on the big screen...there's always something going on...

 watching the blimp...

by the end...tootie was doing this and getting stuck in the seats....it was time to go....

a little fishing with a mistletoe was going on;)

Fun night!!!
