Easter 2012

It's no secret that we love holidays around here.  It's the family time, the good company, the many conversations, the kids playing/laughing/crying/whining, and all the other good stuff.

Well, Easter weekend did not disappoint.  We had our families home and we shared the weekend together and did holiday stuff of course.  We colored Easter eggs, went on some egg hunts, made it through a LONG Easter Sunday mass, had a few cookouts, played at the park, and just enjoyed eachother.

My brother and his family came into town on Thursday night.  Grey was happy to see his cousin Jayne!  Every morning when we would get to my mom's house, we would find Jayne in a new princess 'get-up'.....it's safe to say that the girl is into princesses these days...;)

and when Jayne plays dress-up we do the high heels and all... even if walking is difficult at times...

On "good" Friday I took the kids to the park while Sailor slept.

After the park the kids and papa Mike had some fun with their BIG BUBBLE wands...

We soon headed inside to color more Easter eggs with grammy Ann

Jayne was more interested in her apple fritter...

Grey was such a good boy....He likes coloring eggs:)
After naps at home we all headed back over to grammy Ann's for some spinach lasagna.  It was sooooo good!  She was looking for something that was quick and easy and of course NO meat on Good Friday.  Well it was really good and now I have to try it because Sailor even gobbled it up!
The kids were back playing with their bubbles
and Sailor just chilled in her stroller

My Greyson was soo good over the weekend....he played so hard and was just so happy to have little kids around to play with...I never even saw him unless he had to go potty or if it was time to eat...

Somebody my mom new was getting rid of their John Deere so Grey has been enjoying it a lot!

On Saturday morning we were up bright and early and ready for some Easter egg hunting!  Nate needed his coffee of course and Sailor was happy with her daddy most of the morning...

and these two....well they are just too cute!

Hah!  This is Sailor checkin' out the Easter candy after the hunt....

Saturday night we all headed down to the woods...Dee Dee had us over for our annual Easter Eve partay!

See....Sister and grammy Ann like a good party!

and there was more egg huntin' to do...but let me tell you a secret - we don't fill the eggs!  Yep that's right...the way I see it...they have just as much fun if not more just running and picking up the eggs...so that's what we do...then we grab all those eggs again and back in the plastic bin until next year...stepped on, cracked, almost broken - we don't care...it's all good:)

Enjoying some holiday time with the girls...

Time to open our Easter baskets!

And Finally I bring you to Sunday...another hunt...okay this time there may have been a few dollar bills among the empty eggs:)

And the Easter Bunny that lives all the way in Hawaii sent these...Ellary and Just got Grey a pair of roller blades...this outta be good...haha!
After a little bit of Easter at home we all got ready for 9:00 mass and let me tell you it was long!  The kids were really good for how they had to sit.  After that we all headed to grammy Ann's for a superb lunch!!

These were my 2 studs for the day...I got Grey and Nate matching outfits and they looked too cute!

Livy and Aunt Amy made the centerpiece for the table....idea from Pinterest!  Isn't this cool?!

We could not have asked for a prettier day.  The sun was shining and it was in the upper 60s!  That's my kind of weather!

Auntie Mims and I in our coral shirts...we did NOT plan this either!  Ellary should have been in the middle;)

Sailor was sleeping or she would have been in these;)

Adam and his beautiful family...

Brothers!

And guess who made a pit stop again?  The wonderful Mr. EB!

Sailor was still not having it with the EB

It's hard to get them looking at the same time...

And after the visit with the EB the binkie was the only thing calming Sailor down...

This girl is serious about her eggs...

We had a wonderful holiday with our family and friends.  I feel so blessed to have all of these people in my life.

Good times for sure!

Happy Easter!

Random things

Sailor playing this weekend in her famous sitting position...Sister needs to start crawling...

Pouty face....happy face....

We pulled the 'old' bike out on Sunday.  Do you like the pedals?  I don't think we need the extra support anymore;)

Nate pulled out his four wheeler.  He's such a little kid when it comes to his 'toys'

Sailor enjoying the beautiful weather...

Some red tulips...

A little bird seed for you...

We can always count on our cousin Livy to find something interesting to do outside.  I believe she was building something for the birds here;)

a couple 'mild' stunts

and a little bit more of Spring...

Remember, random is good every now and then.

Easter Egg Fun

Last night we decided to color some Easter eggs.  The first of many this week...Greyson had so much fun with it last year.

He was one excited little boy...I boiled 2 dozen eggs to color...(I may have put some on the stove to boil and then proceeded to get on the computer and FORGOT about them-yuck!)  Greyson kept saying..."mommy our house smells terrible"...yeah yeah kid I know....**** happens-ha!

The breeze was a little chilly so we stuck a bandana on Sailor's head...(Sister looked a little punky)
(snuggling with papa)

Daddy was getting all into it:)

Sailor wanna cracker?

Greyson's initials...

and while we colored eggs, Dee Dee walked Sailor around like this...

Only Nate....I didn't ask?

This year our "fourth" egg has a name on it...Last year it was BabyE colored half pink and half blue...we weren't sure of our lil' surprise last Easter.

Lovin' me some vibrant Easter eggs!

And this is Sailor wishing you a Happy Monday!  We took the kids out to dinner Saturday night and I thought Sailor looked so cute so I had to post one of her out of the gazillion that I took;)
