Livy's Birthday!

Livy is a little angel who was born in the magical month of December! And now she's the big 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe it?!?!? We had a birthday party for the sweetie yesterday at Auntie Amy's house! We had our family and her friend Izzy to join us in the celebrating! Livy got lots of presents, but I do think her two favorite's were the camera from Auntie Ann and her live frogs.

Oh yeah....Nate, Grey and I got her two teeny tiny live frogs....She named them right away...One is Ashley and the other is NED....don't ask people....we just go along with it! lol! Here are lots of pictures from our day with Livy Lou!

What's in store...

for this Friday's post? Or should I just say what's on my mind?
Okay here goes...

• wondering what to get my family for Christmas
• wondering what "Santa" is going to bring for Grey this year
• not really "feelin" it yet in my classroom this holiday season
• watched the first slight snowfall yesterday with my 5 year olds/ they thought it was the most amazing thing...(through the eyes of a child) it did look pretty sparkly I must say
• thinking i hate when i have laundry to fold and dishes to wash
• i really need a dishwasher
• wondering what possible "change" could be in store for ME and MY FAMILY
• loving all the Christmas lights
• wondering why I blew off my dentist appt the other day (I called and cancelled) I should have just gone though...there are just not enough hours in the day
• had to be observed in my classroom yesterday and in the middle it started to snow (see above) and all my students literally RAN to the window to look at it...I could not do anything but stand there and smile....luckily my principal did the same LOL -you never know what 16 five year olds are gonna do...we did get back on track though
• wondering why I can't upload my pics this morning...it's making me mad it keeps saying error....ugggghhhhh...because I have the cutest little man in his holiday PJ's that I want to show off...
• am a little bothered that my little guy's "bottom" is so red...I am calling the doctor this morning...ASAP
• okay well maybe I will be able to upload my pics later

Tubby Time in the Sink!

My back has been hurting me now for a little bit. Don't know what's going on with that. Maybe it's because Grey is getting a little heavier? I always tell myself (use your legs) when you pick him up!!! (advice from papa Mike) So, instead of taking Grey downstairs into the bath where I would have had to bend over and such (which my back hurt too much to do) I decided to put him in the sink. Now, he has not gotten a bath in the sink for a lonnnnnng time and I was not sure if he would still fit (lol) but he did and he loved it! He loves his tubby anyway but he screamed this time when I took him out of the sink....So I turned it into a snap action photo shoot...so here it is!

Happy 13 Months Grey!!!

You complete US buddy boy!!!

Greyson you are 13 months old today and I know I always say this, but time is flyin' by! You are everything to us and we just want to thank you for making our lives so special! You are one thriving little boy and we just can't get enough of you!

It's UP and it sure is Pretty...

To begin: Last night in a nutshell...if you don't mind...

• cook dinner - check
• have kitchen a mess with every utensil and pot and pan on floor for baby-check
• feed hubby and baby dinner - check
• clean up dinner - check
• okay now put up tree -check
• put lights on tree - check
• they all light - Alleluia - check
• christmas tree needles everywhere - check
• hubby vaccuums them all up - check
• baby crying -check check check
• okay now it's 7:30/put baby to bed-check check check
• now go finish up the tree-check

So, last night we decided to put up the tree. We started the whole process with Grey helping, but that did get a little tricky. Although, we did get as far as the lights while sweet baby Grey was up, but then we did have to finish after I put my precious angel to bed.

Grey had a very special friend throughout the process of putting up our Christmas tree...oh yes a beloved cord that he would NOT part with last night...

And then Nate set up his Nativity. We do really have a couple great traditions that I so dearly love....One of them is the Nutcrackers that both Nate and Grey get from St. Nick every year and the other is Nate's Nativity. This is another "thing" that Nate has collected pieces for over the years. It is now complete! This is a pretty expensive Nativity set so he couldn't just get ALL the pieces at once so instead he would get a couple pieces every year and now it's all there! So, I always make Nate put it up!

Both of Greyson's grandma's have also started him on this type of Nativity so when Grey is old enough it will also ALWAYS be his job to set up his Nativity and tell his mama the whole story behind the Nativity (lol)

I love seeing a Nativity! I really do! I think it's beautiful!

And then, when Greyson was down for the count....his mom and dad decided to fool around....oh yeah we fooled around alright...we were nerds and set our camera on the self timer and took pics of us in front of our Christmas tree!!! Just what you thought - right?!?!? lol!
