Time with Daddy

We even like to accessorize daddy when he gives his Sailor a bottle.  Sailor wears the bib and Nate gets the matching burp cloth...gotta love it!

Her face was cracking me up in this one.

Happy Friday!

3 months

Sailor Ann, you are 3 months old today!

You are getting so big soooo fast baby girl.

You are developing your own little personality more and more each day.  You have definitely found your hands which has been a big thing for you lately.  I have started to hold toys in front of you and you will occasionally grab at them.

You love to look at your hands and suck on them.  I still don't want you to be a thumb sucker but I'm waiting to see how that turns out.  You still are not crazy about the binkie.  You take it for maybe a minute and then spit it out.

YOu have really started to babble and coo more.  I need to get it on video.  Whenever we talk to you, the baby babble starts and WE LOVE IT!  I have also started putting you in the bumbo more, but you are not crazy about that either.

You LOVE to stare at your big brother and he can get some pretty big smiles out of you.

We have started to see a fussy side of you with sleep.  I will feed you, then rock you to sleep, but the minute I lay you down - you start to cry and it has taken me a LONG time to get you to calm down and to fall asleep.  YOu have also won the swaddle battle.  You were NOT liking the swaddle so that has stopped, but I still think you have a harder time falling asleep.  YOu usually are down by 8 for the night and then you get up at 12:30 and then again at about 5:30am.

Daddy calls you the queen B and loves to cuddle with you.

Another big thing is your tongue lately.  You love to stick that thing out and it's the cutest thing.  There has also been a lot of drool lately.  I've been wondering if you are going to be an early teether.  But still nothing yet.

You love to be layed down where you can kick like crazy and move those arms.  You have a certain cry for everything.  A tired cry, a hungry cry, a 'just put me down' cry...etc..I think I have them down pretty good for the most part.

Nursing is still going very good for both of us.  You still get up twice through the night to eat, which I'm hoping will change soon;)

You have also started to roll on your side. (this just started very recently) You go girl!

I am loving every minute with you Sailey Sue, but it just keeps going faster and faster this time around.  When I stop and think, it truly makes me a little sad just how fast our kids grow up.

Happy 3 months baby girl.  We love you!

Sally

I have to laugh because my grandpa Hank has nicknamed Sailor as Sally and it has kind of stuck with all of us.  He thinks we have chosen 'unique' names for our children.  He would not call Greyson by his name for the longest time and now he calls Sailor Sally.  We find it funny.  I actually like the fact that he has nicknamed my daughter Sally and we all find it pretty cute.

So today I give you Sally.

Sally has found her hands and is very amused for the time being.

She is always sucking on her hand too.  Greyson never did this.  I know she is gonna find that thumb soon enough.

I wish I could tell you...

that it's been a fun filled week here.  But then I'd be lying.

I wish I could tell you that our days have been filled with happy babies, time spent outside, making crafts, and home cooked meals everyday.  But that has not been the case.

No actually I've had two crying babies all week it seems.  One of them has been throwing tantrum after tantrum and the other lil' sweet pea of mine has not wanted me to lay her down to sleep much.

This would be the lil' sweet pea I'm talking about.  She's also been boycotting the swaddle but I'm not ready for that yet because she sleeps better in the swaddle.  Don't know who's gonna win this battle yet?!  But it was so bad a couple days that I was worried something more serious was wrong  It's hard when you have had babies that don't cry unless they "need" something like diaper change, hungry, tired, ect. ect.  So when Sailor was screaming at the top of her lungs for quite a while I got scared, but she has calmed down since the beginning of the week so that's good.  She just wants to fight me a little on sleep and really won't fall asleep unless I'm holding her.

And this one...has had waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many time outs this week for me to even count.  I say black and Grey says white lately.

He's already fighting me on what I dress him in.

So in between all of this...it makes for a very tired mommy and my allergies have been acting up.  Every September my eyes REALLY start to bother me.

So yesterday morning I went to the eye doctor and about a day later (very annoyed) they decided I can take these much needed eye drops -thank goodness - they had to check with my OB because of nursing, but she said it's perfectly fine and now I have found a little bit of relief with that as of 10am this morning so that's good.

Wednesday we barely made it to library because Grey fought me on wearing these safety glasses.  He threw a mind snap because I told him we were not taking them to library because they would either get broke or lost.  He had to put them on the minute we arrived back at home.

Yeah these are the looks I have been getting lately...not fun!

And when I'm tired - I do become quite a BABY I admit it.  I have been complaing all week to my Aunt Amy and my mom how tired I am and then I start to cry.  Grey has gotten up all week at 5:30 and Sailor gets up for a feeding at 6.  So yes I've been very crabby and short fused.  And the eye drop thing mentioned above just about threw me over the edge because I was so miserable.

But this was the library pick of the week and has been a night time favorite...

and I do believe the safety glasses stayed on the remainder of the day-ha!

Other than that we have not been up to much.  We have made it to the park a couple afternoons because I just couldn't take it anymore and needed to get out of the house.  I'm glad it's Friday and I hope Grey sleeps "in" this weekend- ha!  Yeah right!!!

And I hope 2 crabby babies and a crabby mommy are out the window for next week.  Stay tuned...

Weekending

Venturing out on Saturday night.  Not sure where we were going, but we knew we were headed out to eat.

and just as the sun was about to set, we landed here....We were hungry for seafood and it was very good.

During that glorious nap time on Sunday I sat back in the recliner admiring my new shoes for this fall season while...

watching one of my FAVORITES...SATC never gets old...LOVE it!
(love nap time on a rainy afternoon)

And the rest of our weekend looked something like this:

That's all for now.  Cowboy hats are off and it's back to business for the week.

My to do lists are made and I can't wait to start crossing things off.
Happy Monday!
