Garbage Night!

Greyson LIVES for this night.  Seriously it gets him so excited and Nate reminds him every Monday of the job they have to do.  Oh Yes that wonderful/cool thing - the garbage truck comes every Tuesday morning - usually between 8:00 - 8:30....and yes of course I know this because Grey always HEARS it and then we run to the window to watch the garbage truck come from one end of the street all the way down to our house.  The garbage man usually waves to us and Grey waves back super excited.  So, since Tuesday morning is the big day we have to set out our garbage on Monday night.  Grey and Nate always get it all ready and Greyson really does help!  He always wants to carry everything by himself of course, but Nate always lends a helping hand too!

He always double checks the garage then to make sure his WHOLE job is done.

We have a good helper on our hands.

Mary's Birthday!

We had a busy Saturday.  We had a birthday party for my cousin Mary and then we had to go to a graduation party for my other cousin, so there really wasn't room for anything else....Mary turns 9 on July 2nd so we had her party this past weekend because we have another BIG weekend coming up - very busy but we are not complaining. 

Mary was the bat girl for the Cubs on Father's Day so it was a really cool experience for her and the family.  So, we went with a cubs theme kind of and it was perfect with the red, white, and blue....since she's pretty much of a 4th of July baby!

Oh to be 9 again...a new pair of UGGs and an ipod touch and she was good to go...yeah she made out really good!

Family Swim Night

So, to add to our busy days....we have also been taking Grey for some night swims as well.  It's nice because it breaks up our evenings.  As I told you my mom and dad's neighbor's just put in an in-ground swimming pool and they have been nice enough to give us a key.  How nice is that?!  This particular outing was the day of the really bad storm last week where the tornado sirens were going off, but obviously we didn't know that at the time.


Do you like the new flotation device?  This was hilarious on Grey...I could not stop laughing with how he looked in the spandex part...He was not too fond of it at first and it is a little big for him this year.  Good thing it was not expensive...because I don't think we will be using it a lot.


Oh and these are my cute new nike's that aren't very comfortable...


Nate made a quick beer run...Miller High Life on this particular night...and we were good to go...

This is where we thought we heard thunder...that's why my face looks like that.  Nate and I were gonna have a race from one end of the pool to the other and grammy Ann was gonna judge, but then we saw lightning and scurried out of there.  Lucky for Nate because he would have lost the race...hah!
