Happy New Year!

2010 is FAST approaching...

Happy New Year Everybody! The Ernat family is staying in tonight and cookin' up a delicious meal of crab legs, fresh steamed vegetables, some yummy rice, and a salad of organic lettuce I might add. This will be Grey's first time eating crab legs. I hope he likes it!

So, let's say CHEERS to 2010! Here's to another year of good times shared with good friends and loved ones and also to new beginnings!

The Aquarium

Now I know that I could just call this thing a regular ol' fish tank, but I like to call it an aquarium! Besides, that's what the box said, so we'll just go with it.

For those of you who don't know, Grey got this aquarium for Christmas and we have set it all up and it sure looks cool. We put it in our back family room at eye level for Grey to see. We bought some cool anemones for it, some cool plants, and a little "shipwreck" type action if you will. Nate keeps telling me I just like to keep using the word anemone...I keep telling him-haven't you ever seen Nemo??? We have to wait until the water stabilizes and gets to the right temp. before we add our pretty fish.

Here is daddy and Grey setting it all up...

adding the pretty plants... that glow in the dark I might add...

I think he likes it!

I have to admit, at first I thought what is this, but it does look pretty cool in our back room...Now, daddy just has to keep it extra clean ALL the time!

Christmas Day at the Riva Residence

We spent Christmas Day at the Rivas, while Nate's family headed to Algonquin. It was a very relaxing day. We enjoyed the company of our family, some really good food, and we ended the night with opening gifts at their house. I really am so sad when it is ALL over. Christmas comes and goes so fast every year. We thoroughly enjoyed everything and are so grateful for our family and friends.

From grammy and papa Riva this Christmas, Greyson received a nutcracker to add to his collection (i just love those-I hope Grey appreciates them as much as me someday), some cool new books, a bee bop award winning band set, a basketball hoop and basketball, and a caterpillar tractor with legos. I cannot even begin to tell you about ALL the things Grey got this year. And I know I say this all the time but he is one lucky little boy who is so very loved. And he will know SOON enough just how truly blessed he is.

Great Grammy Joyce also got Grey a nutcracker for his collection and an outfit and a hammer set toy!
Well I think that finishes up the Christmas posts...it only took three days right....now if I can only find room in my house for all of Grey's presents!

Christmas Morning with my family of 3...

Our Christmas Morning was really good! Grey woke us up about 7am! We gave him a little glass of milk and then it was into the family room to see what Santa brought us! It was pretty relaxing. We had nowhere we had to be and we could just sit and watch Christmas through the eyes of our child. It was a wonderful feeling!

From "Santa" this year Grey received a guitar, a handy Manny tool set, some instruments - bells, cymbals, shakers, and some new books. His two top presents from 'santa' at our house were the tool set and the guitar! Mommy got a really cool watch from daddy (that's what was in the kelley cawley bag ;)) and daddy got a new bear's jersey from mommy!

This is Grey before we opened the presents....

Santa set out Grey's presents all over the family room

Christmas Eve 2009

Our Christmas Eve this year started with 4:00 mass and then onto Grammy and Papa Ernat's. Yes, we had Christmas Eve at the new house this year! We feel very blessed and lucky because the Riva's and Ernat's have come together on all holidays. We are kinda spoiled, because we don't have to split anything up. It's really really awesome actually! And we also had Adam, Georgia, and Jayne with us....
We enjoyed apps at Grammy Deb's, some drinks, and wonderful family time....I have lots of pics of course and here they all are...

Christmas Eve 2009...from Grammy Deb and Papa Davey Grey received a cool tent, a trampoline bouncy house, an aquarium (which we are in the process of setting up), and a tube to go sledding in...
I am going to break this up into a couple of posts....as it would be too much if I did it all at once....so Christmas Morning and Christmas Day will be coming in the next few days.

All in all Christmas Eve was a great night and Grey was a little angel! We are blessed!
