Random

Because random is good.  And because I really don't have a snazzy title that ties all of these pictures together other than the usual of the weekend, or a sunday afternoon, etc. etc... 

So, RANDOM it is...

First of all I must say that my weekly Target run ended with buying some cons and I love them.  The perfect addition to my spring wardrobe...

We have been under the weather AGAIN.  Before it was the belly and such and now it has been a terrible terrible cold, terrible sounding cough, and a low grade fever since last Wednesday.  Greyson went to the doctor on Friday and his ears, throat, and lungs were all clear which was good news.  The doctor just said it's a virus and that it would have to run its course.  Unfortunately, we had to miss out on the Easter egg hunts this weekend because Grey has just not been himself.  If you heard him cough, you would KNOW what I mean. 

What's wrong with this picture?  First off, the fact that my lil' man is in a winter hat and his winter coat and that it's mid April...This was a sneeze I caught from him yesterday.  Sorry if it's a little too clear, I had to post it...lol!  His poor little nose is red and chapped, but I must say he knows how to blow that nose like NO other...

And also, that it's Spring Break for us this week and the weather is not looking too good.  Maybe 50s the rest of the week and rain...figures....:(

Yesterday we were supposed to go to an Ernat family birthday party up by Chicago.  But, Nate's cousin Den (where the party was at) has two cats and I am extremely ALLERGIC so there was NO way I could go and since Grey was sick there was no way he could go.  So, Nate went and represented while Grey and I took a rain check.  Den and Megan's little boy Brayden turned 1.  Nate brought Grey back a balloon which made his night....the little things - right!

So, since Nate was gone I brought Grey down to my parents to nap while I hit up Home Depot and the mall with my mom.  I did happen to buy a gallon of paint :) and Nate is going to paint the back room for me this week;)  And I may have some ceramic tile sitting in my car just waiting to be put in my kitchen...and in the hallway....oh and in the bathroom....more to come on that later.

Greyson went down at noon and did not get up until after 4.......and then on top of being sick we have just discovered that his top molars are working their way through.  He kept telling me - "mommy my teeth hurt" so one flashlight later and him opening his mouth long enough for me to see....there are some bright red bulging gums back there and one that has just started to cut.  GREAT!  Poor lil' guy.  But thank goodness he took such a long nap - he needed it!

After nap time it was outside to get some fresh air to let that nose run and run and run...Papa Mike had the hose out so what do you think that led to?

Yep, a little 2 year old had to do some major watering even if he happened to accidentally spray himself and get all wet....

The hose really made him smile....random yes....but then again that's what this post is about-right!

In between hose time, I found a hint of Spring in the neighbors yard.  Just one, but it was still a sign...One pink tulip there...

As I told you he managed to get himself all wet from the hose and since he is sick there was no way we could stay outside in the cold and have a wet coat on, so in the house we went with one minor meltdown about having to come inside....But we made it a water break while his coat dried.

The coat quickly dried and it was back outside, but only after putting the hose away;)

This time we sat on the deck feeling for baby kicks....(29 weeks prego)

Baby Ernat was havin' a party in my belly at the time...

The world looks so much better on Papas shoulders...

So much to look forward to and live for with a tiny miracle standing right in front of me and one growing inside of me...doesn't get much better than this!  My 2 loves!

And then it comes time to be smothered with kisses because that's what grandmas and grandpas do best!

And between kisses, winter hats, and winter coats we are desperately waiting for Spring, but we know it's coming.....it has already been here....it just didn't stay for that long.....but we are reminded that it's coming real soon....maybe in another week - hah!  Maybe not....who knows with Illinois weather....

But we know it has to come one way or another

Then the time came to do a little entertaining.  Grey grabbed his guitar and rocked away...and then it happened...

Papa Mike in all his guacamole chip glory rocked out as well as Greyson jammed on his bad ass Elmo guitar...

And then the two of them came together and rocked a sweet ass duo

He's a good entertainer and he can blow his nose like NO OTHER!

Yesterday was the first day without a fever.  Now if we can just get rid of this cough!!!
